They defnitely need to triple the amount of experience that side quests give.

One side quest is roughly the same of a common FATE, which is wild because the latter can be cleared in a fraction of that time, especially if there are multiple people doing it.

I really don't see the harm. Side quests are a one time thing, is not like a player can endlessly exploit them for all of their jobs.

90% of my levelling on DPS has been through Frontline roulette so far lol, it’s an absolute godsend. I’d prefer to do the 91+ story dungeons so I can actually get used to new skills etc, but Frontlines is just so much less hassle to get into (again, as a dps lol)

Why not do it with Trusts then? In addition to leveling jobs, you're making progress for a title and alternate costumes for the scions, and also won't have any competition if orchestrion or minion drops.

Side quests aren't meant for levelling. They give a bit of token xp and an infrequent gear coffer as small appreciation for those who are interested in doing them. If you aren't interested in the lore, you can just ignore the yellow quests on the map.

More than leveling itself, the lack of a proper way to level up once you've done the roulette. I just upped VPR from 80 to 90 and I really missed having a bozja like zone that allow a decent leveling and the ability to drop nice loot while not needing to wait 25 min to enter like dungeon (when you want to lvl up a dps class). Fates are good enough for a while, but the fact you only drop bicolor gemstone and that get boring pretty fast (and that's coming from someone that kinda like farming and sometimes did 8hours sessions in Zadnor. After half an hour, I'm bored with Fates).

There are ways to level up with not too much effort. For example doing some of the daily roulettes (like PvP frontline, leveling or msq) or this random weekly sticker album. But...

    ..., and imo it's a big but(t)!
For longterm players, the always exactly repeating grind to level up stuff 10 levels again every single expansion..., becomes very boring at some point.

    My motivation is gone. :c

The game def need to reward player with more xp. in GW2 and WoW, you can easily reach level cap whitin like 1-3 days whitout tryharding or using the most efficient mechanic. In here if you don't do the fastest content (roullete) you're just slowed even more down.

I don't know GW2 very well (I tried it out for a few weeks, wasn't terribly impressed, haven't touched it since), but in WoW, the endgame is the main focus and leveling is just the time sink to get to it. In FFXIV, the story is the main focus, so leveling faster doesn't really matter much unless you also buy a story skip, because the story is gonna gate the content anyway.

The story is the main focus but it not like we get to experience it and get msq exp with more than like, 2 classes at best for each xpac. I don't mind leveling like, 2 classes with the story, since the MSQ xp is fine and make you progress, well, with the story. But when it time to level the like, 16 others classes in the game you basicly just have dailies and after that the xp gain is painfully slow.

I only focus on 5 jobs for each expansion for their role quest story.

    Tank/Healer/Melee/Magic Range/Physical Range.

If that expansion is really really boring I will only max the first 3 jobs. Currently on my 5th job melee dps for DT.
