Why is Square Enix so lazy with making weapons lately?

Not only weapons but gearsets as well, the only decent one is the casting and fending/maiming sets vanguard set because the striking one has some weird color channels We got a Rinascita set recolor this soon..i guess the next crafted set will be a recolored Diadolchos set. I was kinda disappointed when checking the marketboard and didnt find a single shinny viper weapon. On the other hand crafters and gatherers get cool and good looking sets that could pass well for all class glams. I'm still waiting for SoC shinny weapons, big fan of these.

They even stopped doing that the last few patches of EW

They only skipped 6.4 though. Every other EW major post-launch patch added crafted primal weapons, with 6.5 having added the Emerald Weapon ones.

Its still slow... and some weapons like GNB could really go with some cheap kitbash of MCH and Pala/DK/SAM. Ik its still work and all but its sad when looking for weapons on some jobs and having 0 choices. It was already much when they made Reaper and Sage weapons for thordan, even if it was only bc of the ultimate...

Why do we still get undyable weapons and armor sets, too? Especially for stuff that is a palette swap of existing gear.
The logic/quality of some dye channels aside why go into the expansion with two dye channels as a selling point and include gear that has none?

Because they don't have the resources / manpower / budget / will or are too lazy to do them. Much like how the last three dungeons have only accessories and not armor sets. And how they sneak in recolours of old sets

Not gonna lie, I kinda wish they would add new job gear into the previous expansions Relic weapon grind... would love to see a Manderville Viper Weapon...

Budget is probably going into NFT's or to market some new flop games / remakes / mobile games / other failures instead of future proofing, propping up and goodwill returning our sub money into FFXIV development.
