I'd like the stone spell animations to look a little more intimidating than just throwing some rocks at the mobs.

This game is not WoW; if you want WoW, go play WoW. If you get butthurt when people mention Final Fantasy XI, then shut up about WoW.As much as it might hurt you, and as much as someone else brings the balance issues up, FFXI had the jobs right. And, you know, this is a FF, and I don't see you guys complaining about people asking for WoW things. So please.
Also, it's not like this dev team is being true to the roots of the jobs anyway.

I want wild chocobos to hunt and kill ... I mean farming ^^
I want streets in the outside safe at the day and dangerous at the night
I want an area underwater during rain and dry during sunshine

I echo alot of the Lively NPCs and day/night cycle differences.
I had posted a theory on how to have NPCs travel between areas and cities without them needing indipendant scripting but making a system that scripts the locations, but places "tracks" of a sort that NPCs would travel on. Thus the NPC script would be more of WHat "track" (AKA standard set of waypoints used by multiple NPCs) the NPCs should take and when.
Its always nice to travel bwteen cities and see more then:
Players racing in directions
Mobs
Possible random NPC standing in one spot
I like my virtual worlds to feel alive. People walking to pubs and staggering out at night
Hawkers selling wares. Perhaps once in a while "aggroing" a Player and following them a short distance trying to sell snake oil till they leash back to their usual spot.
Being able to pick a spot in town to /sit and just watch the NPCs travel by and hear them chatter etc.
Static worlds tend to lose appeal to me after a while. when nothing moves on its own besides the players and the things we kill its like being in an elaborate 3d painting instead of a virtual world.

I would always imagine the NPCs running from town to town to be like the mail guy from Zelda: Majora's mask. The only way you can catch them is by wearing bunny ears. lol

be able to design your own LS crest is all i want![]()

Pipes..I want my wizard's pipe! (made a thread about this a few months ago, got good responses actually..)
Items with charges, something that feels like actual enhanced magical items (I'm a d&d nerd kinda), you use up the charges and the ring becomes a "blank" normal ring. Either to be recharged, or sold or converted, whatever.
Classic FF magic - Reflect in particular. Zombie affliction (cure's hurt you, while poisons and such do not, dont necassarily heal you either, but dont DoT your health. Regen would..)
Environmentally hazzard zones - Sort of like the poison mist in AV. Certain areas where 'Wild' magic is at play, spells you cast going awry, either turning into something completely bizarre, not happening at all, or increasing their potency. Area's where Metal cannot be used, where if you are geared with metallic objects you are Weighed down, moving at a Heavy speed (things like Enduring March may nullify this to a point, but that isnt permanent if I recall..)
I could really go all day about things really..lol

I know a lot of people might hate me for this but...
Bring back Toad and Pig Status effects!!

Small things...small things...
Adding shading to the linkshell badge. It would take all but a few seconds to put an aesthetic gleam on one end and a shadow other to make it look three dimensional. Also add a few more colors not so primary, or allow a color slider. The primary colors plus zero shading when all of the other icons are so well designed and pretty make the badges by comparison look very bad.
Would be nice if canceled or interrupted spells didn't have a failed/finished cast animation. It adds unnecessary time to trying to pick the spell you had intended or change your mind. Course I hear that the system and perhaps the animation will be different in 2.0 so this may be moot.
Npc houses. The cities feel kinda artificial without anything really demonstrating pedestrian life. Really the only buildings are guilds and maybe a shop or two. I miss being able to go into an npc's house that can be used for various quests to learn about that family, or visit a farm outside of town. More structures are needed that are not actually, well, needed for anything in particular other than just to exist for variety sake. I'm not sure if that qualifies as a "small" thing though.

And it is VERY LIKELY that we see things imported from FFXII in XIV:ARR, since some of the main members of the team have worked on the game.
XII is my second favorite FF game, after VII, and the last excellent one, but don't ask me why, I don't even know myself.
