Steps:
1. I got to X 7.5 Y 12.5 The Crystarium
2. He had a blue quest I talk to him and it disappeared and I didn’t get another quest or anything
3. I talk to the minstreling wanderer again and he tells me he doubts any of my latest exploits will suffice and I receive nothing no trial
4. Repeat step 3

Have you actually completed trials on normal?

We had to take a friend through the normal versions in order to unlock the EX trials for them when we were farming gwibers. They also purchased a story skip
