Cornservant - See you in 8.0?

Of all of the characters introduced in Dawntrail, the Cornservant needs to continue into 8.0 and beyond. It was a fun and memorable quest line!

Genuine question - what exactly is the deal with the cornservant? Like, is it a reference to something? Those quests were a lot of fun, it just seems so random to me that I feel like I must be missing something...

There are some myths about a corn mother, a being made of corn who uses her own body to feed the hungry.

Maybe cornservant is based on those stories?

I dunno, I feel like there was really a kernel of something there; with a bit of work, this questline could really pop.

I think it’s just for fun? Other than corn being like a “new world” food to tie to the fantasy America.

Unless FFXIV team goes Auspices with it, and we get more side quests and a Tural vers. of Hell’s Lid with other foods or something.
