BRD needs a consolation song

The worst part of playing BRD is how if you die at the wrong moment, your rotation is a mess for the next two minutes. I crave a crappy song without a cooldown so that my bard can go doot doot rather than spending 45 seconds with nothing to do because I died or am at level 50. Level 50 bard only having two songs is also miserable.

This song could be strictly worse than the main three, as long as I don't stand there like a moron who lost all my sheet music and needs to wait for the rest of the band to stop before I can come in late.

I think BRD needs more attack rotation mechanics that don't require a song be active so that when you do die, and get back up, you can at least still have a game to play. BRD's only damage that exists in complete isolation from its songs are Barrage, Raging Strikes, its dots, and Sidewinder. You die during Wanderer's, you lose Pitch Perfect procs. You die in Mage's, you lose heartbreak Shot cool down reductions. you die in Army's, you lose the haste buff that affects Burst Shot, and Refulgent Arrow. You die during any song, you lose your gauge, you lose Apex, and Blast Arrow -- as well as Empyreal Arrow losing value from not being able to force Repertoire procs, and drifting. Your job stone may as well break when you die. It's too much.

I actually like the concept of requiring you to sing, but it needs recoverability. If I could go doot doot it would be okay. I want to go doot doot. I hate not having a song buff on my allies.

They just need to find solutions allowing to remove the recast on songs, but that would require extensive reworks or additions.

Being punished with a worse song is still a fail state

If they made this song say “x echo” where it replays the song for half the effect, half the buff and half the proc chance you are still being heavily punished for dying but it doesn’t completely ruin your song rotation for like half the rest of the fight

Fail states are good, fail states that functionally can’t be fully corrected even with time are bad, even BLM you can fix it’s fail state by simply returning to ice and starting again

Oh man, I've had some good times after doing savage recently. Brain gone completely smooth from playing too much and just keep pressing the Fire IV button even though it's doing nothing. Lose Enochian and now have no MP to cast Blizzard. Good times lmao
