    Connection & network lag issues

Onset of problem: 09:25 (eastern US time) <t:1723382700:t>

    Datacenter: Aether
    Server: Gilgamesh
    Platform: ps5

Began in Yanxia and continued into Azim Steppe. Game began to exhibit symptoms of network lag as other player characters became frozen on screen only to then skip to another location. Was able to relay chat and teleport to another zone, but with lengthy input lag and delay between zoning.

Became disconnected. Upon attempting to log back in, was greeted with "Connecting to PlayStation Network" Black screen. Screen persisted for 5+ minutes until I shutdown and reset all my equipment. Second attempt resulted in the same thing. Was finally able to log back in but network lag was still present.

Other player characters still freezing on screen only to then move rapidly to another location and become frozen again. Significant delay between zoning, changing characters, accessing market board, selecting retainers, and everything else.

As of 11:10 <t:1723389000:t> no change; problems still present. Logging off for now. Hopefully resolves soon.

Same @11am EST. Seeing horrible lag response time from basic functions like opening Free Company or retainer. Was able to do the M1/M2/M3/M4 on several characters yesterday with some minor lag, but today its way bad.
It will work fine for a couple minutes and then lag kicks in briefly.

    Datacenter: Primal
    Server: Hyperion
    Platform: PC

    @votraftur
    NO VPN
Wired Directly to Switch that has CAT 6 cable directly to cable modem (600mb Down/25mb Up)
ALL Characters. Doesn't matter what Datacenter or Character I'm logged into. I've got same issue on characters on Oceanic, Crystal, Dynamis and Primal.
Usually after I've been logged into game for a few minute at least - I'll be doing something like crafting and BOOM I'm disconnected. Or just parked in Free Company house moving materials around my character.
I've been dropped multiple times Sunday, Monday and now Tuesday. If fact I was just dropped a 2nd time just now with 90006 error crafting a stack of 99 items (TWICE in a row dropped trying to do that) as I type this.
    ISP: Spectrum - Missouri
    Region: Midwest - Missouri
Rebooted Cable Modem, Rebooted Router, Rebooted Computer (In that order) - did Speed Test and validated functional.

NOTE: I had ZERO problems on Saturday like this, but since Sunday it's been non-stop issues. I suspect DDoS attack is still active as the drops are too often and lag in game is also becoming unplayable. I left early last night as I got tried of being booted out of the game. Nothing has changed on my computer since Saturday.

Good morning! Thank you for posting in the Final Fantasy XIV Technical Support Forums.

The issue you are describing is most associated with interference with game data. Many actions can trigger this error, such as a slow internet connection, certain security/privacy changes on the default Internet browser, an application running in the background causing interference, use of a VPN or an odd connection (EG: schools or cafes), a possible virus detected on the device, many rapid payments at once, and numerous other actions.

We advise clearing the cache/cookies/browsing data from your default web browser, disabling any web browser extensions (EG: ad-blocker) and trying again. We also suggest resetting the connection (router/modem) you are using to connect to the Internet before trying again.

Open the control panel of the PC and go to ‘Network and Internet’. Once there select ‘Internet Options’
    - Under the "General" tab, please delete ALL browser history.
    - Under the "Security" tab, please move the slider to the lowest possible settings or no higher than "Medium"
    - Under the "Privacy" tab, click “Advanced” and select ‘Accept’ under both First Party and Third Party Cookies.
    - Under the "Advanced" tab, please make sure that "Allow software to run or install even if signature is invalid" is CHECKED.
    - Make sure that all SSL and TLS (EXCEPT SSL 3.0) are CHECKED. [SSL 3.0 should be UNCHECKED]
    - Hit "Apply" to save the settings, and then "OK, to close the Internet Options menu.
    - Right-Click on the FFXIV launcher icon and select "Properties"
    - Hit "Apply", then "OK" to save the changes.
    - Please RESTART your PC now. Once your PC has been restarted, Right-Click the FFXIV launcher icon once more and select "Run as Administrator"
*Make sure your fire wall or antivirus program is not interfering with the game

Lastly, check to see if the following port ranges are opened on your router. You can contact your ISP and request they open them for you:
    ▼TCP
    54992 through 54994,
    55006 through 55007,
    55021 through 55040

Try disabling background applications and do a clean boot by opening the task manager and selecting the “Start up” tab. Disable everything and then restart the PC.
Lastly, we suggest to power cycle the console and router by shutting down the Router and leaving the power supply unplugged for 5-10 minutes.
