As a healer main in this game for nigh on 14 years all I can say is that I’m tired. My role has been eroded of complexity and expression for 3 expansions. I’ve watched the tanks do my role for me for 2 expansions and my feedback and critiques continue to fall on deaf ears.
I have no idea who modern healers are designed for but I know now it’s not me. This is the first expansion I’m truly considering dropping the healer role and not returning, so if that was the goal- congratulations I guess
I would rather we take all of the ARR dungeons, and shove them into the MSQ Roulette so I never have to do them again.
No, I don't feel sympathy for the sprouts. Duty support exists for a reason, and I ain't spending 20 minutes running any of those trash duties. 90% of the time I queue for any roulette I get Dzemael Darkhold or Aurum Vale. No Thanks. Give me the 30min penalties.
They've already converted many ARR MSQs into solo duties, and I believe they should extend this to the rest, similar to the Steps of Faith. Whether I'm doing MS roulette for tomes or EXP, I dread seeing it as the last roulette to complete. The apprehension of engaging with the content comes from the number of newcomers avoiding stack markers, ignoring proximity AOEs, standing in large lasers, stacking splash AOEs, or ranged/mages circling Pluto and falling to raid-wides because they seem rooted to the spot, or they're constantly running and jumping across the arena, straight into more AOEs. It feels like 30 minutes of babysitting every time. And that's just half of it. The rest? All jobs at level 50 are monotonous and exacerbate the tedium of the roughly 30-minute duty. There's nothing exciting about VPR in MS roulette... just 2-button combos. Thrilling gameplay, indeed! Healers simply AOE heal and spam their damage, refreshing their DOT, and regen. Normally, they could play half-asleep with one eye open. I look at my search info, at everything I've leveled and am working on, and try to choose a job to queue as... but it's difficult to make a choice because it's generally an unpleasant experience. Perhaps it's because I'm stuck in Dynamis, where there are many newcomers. Final Fantasy games are meant to be fun and engaging at high levels. Even though level 50 isn't considered high now, the content was once endgame. It should offer some complexity, not just inflate boss HP and prolong fights, claiming that 3-4 mechanics looping constitutes depth as a makeshift fix.
This wasn't endgame content back then. Everything was melting by the time everyone was decked out in Darklight (the common tome gear at the time). The engaging endgame content back then was Extreme trials and BCoB, not this. You wanna have an engaging time with some level 50 content, gather some mates and do some min ilvl synced runs of Titan Ex, Twintania, or Nael. Good times right there.Final Fantasy games are meant to be fun and engaging at high levels. Even though level 50 isn't considered high now, the content was once endgame. No thanks it works as it's intended to
The only thing I want them to add to MSQ roulette is the Aetherochemical Research Facility from HW.
Yesterday I was playing roulette to level my Astrologian and I tried my best to not fall asleep while playing this job
I found that we are all 4 people are above level 90!!
Someone was asking who are we helping playing main scenario?
My answer was we are helping yoshi p to milk 10 years old content
That's strictly on you for unlocking them.I would rather we take all of the ARR dungeons, and shove them into the MSQ Roulette so I never have to do them again.
