If you aren’t legally blind (as in I’m not insulting you I was legit asking if you had a sight disorder) why are you struggling to see the arm being raised? All you need to do is face your camera towards him and you can see which arm is being raised
I'm pretty sure this person is trolling. They've also got a thread about how the 4th raid fight is too hard, except if they were actually blocked from progressing by this dungeon as claimed then they'd not be at the raid to have a problem with it.
Actually, no, I'm completely certain this person is trolling. Looking the character up, this absolutely reeks of being yet another Titanmen alt.

This may be easier to show rather than tell, but I'm on my phone here so forgive me for using screenshots of someone's YouTube video of their MSQ run, which I've marked up.

When folks say "look for the raised hand", it's worth noting that many of us play with the camera zoomed out as far as possible; it makes seeing the arena (and things that help make mechanics more readable) much easier. No mod involved.

So, as an example, here's a shot from that YouTube video. You can see the person is playing with their camera fairly far back, and I've marked up what folks mean by the raised hand:

The fist in the air is going to come down and splat that poison bubble, covering that side of the room. One thing you'll notice is that the puddles are scattered a bit randomly, but they stop roughly around where the elbow of the arm that isn't raised is resting on the ground:

So when he drops the poison blobs, imagine a sort of line down the center of the room; stand on that line. As soon as one hand goes up, move to the opposite side; as long as you get out far enough to be past that elbow line you should generally be safe.

    Hopefully that helps a bit?

I mean, it is possible someone got dragged through Origenics by other people during MSQ and spent most of that fight on the floor, only to find the boss difficult on their own later when trying to level alt jobs with Duty Support. I certainly know folks who prefer to play jobs they feel out of practice on in Duty Support/Trust before throwing themselves into Duty Finder.

(Heck, I felt too out of practice on Black Mage to go into roulettes without a couple of Trust runs to shake the rust off first. Though I grant you it's less likely the case for Origenics, since you'd have to have gotten the job to level 99 first.)

But regardless, even if you're right, I'm not sure if matters. I figure even if someone isn't serious about needing help, other people who do legitimately want help/advice may find the thread later. Hence why I'm personally always inclined to just shrug and provide the appropriate advice/tips in such threads, even if it ends up only being for posterity.

    ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

I understand you are not trying to be mean, I get that .... 1st group kicked me. 2nd group tank died alot so we quit. 3rd group I began to see the light and understand but it took lots of dying and crying and we beat it after that .....the dungeon was easier and I became the hero healer raising up dps's in stress. Thank you for the being str8 with me I just needed (practice on the job training.) p.s. I still hate that boss idc ...

    - Turn down battle effects
    - Practice in Trusts
    - Maybe adjust brightness or general game settings to be able to identify stuff

Short summary of what i and people suggested.
I can already say this much. If youre genuinely struggling you are not looking forward to first boss in first level 100 dungeon.

    Goodluck

I'm on a alt and yes I passed it on the floor while the tank carried me the 1st time through, so don't judge me.

Okay. Have fun, but maybe get your stories straight, Titanmen.

Sage isn't titanmen. Titanmen wouldn't have made a rather nice house on Materia in Foundation after it opened up. The cafe style one.

Titanmen had the alt that was called "Astrologan" from memory, the rainbow sparkles were so hard to forget.

And if one has trouble seeing the raised arm think "Green Jelly is now out, look for and hide behind the arm that's down to shield us all." But as the awesome Packetdancer says, you need to be centerline to move fast, especially if you are playing away from Sophia on the US servers where reaction time is so short.

With weird pings, you need to be learning the mechanics before they fire, so you can be in the correct spot before the orange markers go down. Trying to stay centre line when you see the jelly, but don't know the shielding arm helps in this bit.

You are a wonderful player and you completely understand me. Showing pics is genius because you understand most learn in snap shots not lectures. Once again I appreciate all your posts they are the best ever
