I'm not even going to bother with primal weapons... going for skirmish + 25k gc, then slowly working on relic. :< I'm not doing this because I can't do it (I can, though it would take hours)... it's just the drop rate is stupid and I'd rather spend time socializing and joking around with my guild while casually doing caravans than fighting an OP boss for hours while my guild racks their respective brains.

And after spending 3 days failing nonstop at beating Darnus before finally beating him with a team that had the drive to finally succeed, I'm taking a while to relax and do the side missions and whatnot.

That's funny! I find Darnus way easier than Garuda. Yaaay that must mean i'm not as bad as I thought I was lol.

On about our 20th attempt at Garuda learning the fight, Darnus we beat with ease on the 2nd attempt. We only lost the first because a couple of people weren't sure about the fight. Once you know how the fight works Darnus is very very easy.

Unless you mean the lvl 45 one.

Yeah for us Chiralda usually goes down pretty easily but our BRDs just can't deal with Suprana and they die to her too often. Hence why we're going to try dropping a BLM and a BRD.

From our many many runs so far we've found that you only really need 2 BRDs to deal with plumes up until her last set of them before Aerial Blast where she spawns a shit load of them. For that one we'll have the DRGs help out with Keen Flurry > Ring of Talons x2. DRG also has Dragonfire Dive which is a nice quick way to help out the BLMs if they're struggling with Chiralda.

We usually go PLD WHM MNK DRG 2BLM 2BRD

During clone phase, PLD can grab Suparna while MNK taunt Chirada so their AoE doesnt hit anyone but the MNK, easier to get into position and less panicy.

Something like that (I think). A MNK with fists of fire up and 2 BLMs will drop Chiralda in no time, only has about 6k HP or something.

We usually use BLMx2-BRDx2-DRG-WARx2-WHM or BLMx3-BRDx2-WARx2-WHM

2BRD and 1 WAR are enough to handle the plumes during phase1.

I'm really surprised no one uses this setup: WAR,WAR,BRD,BRD,BLM,BLM,BLM,WHM
BRD 2hr at start, BRD 2hr at aerial blast

This way when chirada/suprana pop main tank can switch to grab chirada (and collusion your top BLM for his flare) and 2nd WAR can grab suprana (and pull him on top of the tank) this way both WAR's can dps down suprana

key's to success: forcing aerial blast just after the 3rd wave of adds, identify [clock/middle/east] and getting into position quickly (tank/OTank pickup chirada/suprana)

This is more or less what we used to do but the WAR nerf seemed to cut into our strategy. However if it still works for you, you must be getting like 5 min kills o.o
