A discussion about the topic including improvements and suggestions is more usefull to the dev/producer than a poll which tells them that 100 people like the idea and 7 don't.

As the devs said. They will look at the topics who have good and a lot of discussions.

I know from other game forums, that saying "I agree" or "T-Up"-ing suggestions doesn't matter for the dev team. They want to see a good well thought out suggestion that makes them think about it.

The "I agree" posts are same as spam - they won't make the idea better nor help the dev team in ANY way.

Instead of adding a pointless feature which will reduce the amount of constructive comments, they should be more strict about the spam posts.
If they want to know how many people want to see X in the game, they will make a poll and ask about it. The forum should help them by expressing your opinion about the game and the experience you have and you are not going to help them by saying "I agree."

The example you chose is terrible. It's exactly what it should not be used for. A Petition? No, no no. State why you don't like it! Even if you repeat the posts of someone else. Tell them about your experience with the problem and dont only say "I aggre, remove it!" Also you just said yourself that you only need a comment for disagrees, why is that?

You can use this thread as a better example. What if I just posted "I disagree"? Would you think about your suggestion again? would you think about the consequences of this feature? I rarely see any cons on suggestions...
