Term Filter not working?

I have registered a few words in my Term Filter. One of them is - discord - because I'm so annoyed by these giveaway Parties advertised in Chat.
But these damn Shouts pop up constantly.
So, what's the point of that Term Filter?

I read before that it's case sensitive, could that be it?

I have both, capital and lower-case letters. It has no effect.

It also has toggles for various chat types (shout, say, etc.) so maybe one didn't get toggled?

But overall, the term filter is poorly implemented. Case sensitive, only 10 terms, doesn't incorporate * truncation,... Supposedly the Japanese one isn't much better. Has to accommodate full-width and half-width characters, so they have similar issues.

Save yourself a filter slot, just set one to filter iscord

Can't say anyone here's gonna be able to help without seeing the term filter and the chat that dodged it.

Same thing they were thinking when they added the most garbage implementation of a blacklist. Well, second most garbage. Their decade old system they replaced was the most garbage.

Probably trying to rush it out in response to frequent player requests.

Sounds like those that have explored the flaws in the filters are managing to get things blocked as they want.

It definitely good to leave feedback about specific problems you're having so SE can work to improve the filter system.

I hate to bring it to your attention but the term filter was useless before it was even implemented. It was only after it's implementation that we found out it's entirely useless due to how limited and restrictive the feature is, and it was clearly implemented for the sake of pretending they're doing something about [the problem].

This thread has requested the appropriate solution but instead what we got was the useless term filter. It was also mentioned prior to it's implementation how it would be abused, since it was announced in advance, yet here were sit... still facing the same problem.
