It's very superficial to go after the VA when they actually did a good job. The issue with the expansion overall, for me was the dialogue and character handling but that has nothing to do witht he VA. In fact, there are parts of Wuk Lamat's dialogue where you can see how the VA strtuggled to deliver certain lines because how they were written. it's not their job to edit the dialogue, it's the writers' job to make the dialogue interesting and not for it to feel out of place and to make the characters engaging and understand the playerbase in order for them not to become unlikable.

The people attacking the VA like Grummz (or however his name is spelled) are people who haven't even actually played the game. The criticism for Wuk lamat from actual players/streamers/youtubers with proven history of going through the entire MSQ is more about the writting, dialogue and character handling. You can almost be certain the people attacking the VA aren't even part of the community because the community is mostly LGBT friendly. If they were actual players they would go for something more in-game related like certain gear visuals or something more indepth.

Oh I don't follow any FFXIV stuff on Twitter so I'm not familiar with what happened outside of the game other than some youtube vids. I'm just talking about my in-game experience. I didn't dislike the VA for Wuk. My beef is with the writers on this expansion.

People are talking about death threats over voicing an FFXIV character.

Unless your trying to imply that the man who stabbed his wife and two kids to death over a dislike of Stormbloods finer writing points, you should reconsider what your saying because the implications are disgusting.

Sian Blake, Yugiri's old VA, was murdered by her partner, someone that she knew and trusted, NOT some random strangers on the internet. Most murder victims are done-in by people they know and trust instead of random acts of violence or strangers acting on death threats.

Her death had nothing to do with FF14 or its community so mentioning it here in a thread speaking about Wuk Lamat's VA getting death threats and other harrassment is disingenuous since her demise had absolutely no relation to FF14.
