Yesterday I indulged in some retail therapy and bought all the new DT cosmetic items on the MB except the bicolor mount. Going to wait for that one to be half price.

Deadlock brings me much joy
Yesterday I asked a friend I hadn't talked to in a bit to make a glamour item for me, and then we hung out for about an hour just chatting. It was really nice! I've realized a bit in hindsight that the creation of that simple item gave both of us an excuse to come together in a way that felt organic, and that once we had that opportunity we both enjoyed seizing it. I have some amount of social anxiety, so I might not have reached out without something like this to provide an organic reason to have an encounter. So I'm both happy that I had this experience, and happy that FF14 provided a platform in which silly little things like an item can bring people together.
The item was the new Dancer fans, by the way; they're very pretty! ^^
Over the last week or 2 I've dipped my toes back into Eureka, and I have been having a delightful time. Whenever I go into Eureka lately, it's full of helpful, kind, and compassionate players to an extent that just makes my heart feel warm. It's commonplace for players to be willing to arrive at a FATE and then stand around waiting for 10 minutes just so that last person who ran into trouble can get there and participate, too. My most humble thanks to all of the fantastic people I've met there; you've shown me a new threshold to which FF14 players can aspire to!
Deep Dungeons are genuinely great and I wish we could get actual fleshed out dungeon content like that but with no time limits. Just that classic fantasy trope of going into a dungeon, avoiding traps, delving deeper and deeper, uncovering secrets, beating floor bosses, discovering shortcuts, and having to strategise more and having some stakes. I'd love to see more of it with more focus on different party members having unique ways of interacting with the dungeons, like rogues being able to see and disarm traps, warriors bashing down doors or lifting heavy beams to let teammates pass by, and mages being able to take down magic barriers and such.
That said, having a ton of fun with them all.
Hmm spent way too long in pf fighting M2s. As first time raider I had someone point my dps out as low, so I worked, study guides, looked at videos from dnc pov. Went from 13 seconds on the dummy, to 26 to 36 clear time on dummy. Took what I learned and asked a friend for help in pf for M2s savage. We wiped 2 times but on the third we locked in. Got my first clear. Just hearing Metem say the match is decided, victory goes to challenger I jump out my seat screaming yes irl and had tears coming down my eyes. I was so happy.
You open the door theres nothing in sight. You close the door wondering whats in sight. But lets be honest its probably gonna just let you down.
The Aurum Vale as a BLU. It was a roadblock that kept me from leveling BLU for months, because my toon got owned so bad the first time......
Perfect example of "If at first you don't succeed," because the dungeon was not even difficult after a few levels......."I nearly quit BLU for this?"

What a great idea for a post!
I absolutely love logging in every day and hanging out with the many friends I've made in our FC, crafting, crafting and more crafting. Collecting mounts, working on Master titles for the crafters, and marketboard pvp against the mb botters.
Favorite recent moment was being able to get the Ty'aitya mount. SO CUTE!
When my plan worked perfectly. At 2.5x I successfully activated maximum self-buffs in a solo play.

That was my very same experience in Eureka, from the start and throughout all the zones up to the Baldesion Arsenal raid (a million thanks to the people that organize and do the calls on discord several times a week for such a fun run). There was a community of nice players all along. Eureka is one of my most cherished FFXIV memories because of that.Over the last week or 2 I've dipped my toes back into Eureka, and I have been having a delightful time.
