Same. My Aether static had to replace a member at nearly the last second and our 8th member is from Dynamis. They have to come over to an Aether server the night before and then they've logged in during the day since they work from home and kept themselves logged in so they can be sure to make raid night. Our second night together last week they were on Aether but couldn't get logged into that server.
We could try to look into going to Dynamis but I've heard there are issues that way too and some of my friends have gotten stuck in limbo trying to go there. I believe it's because Seraph is getting congested. Plus most of us may not have time to deal with that between end of work and start of raid time.
And my friends in statics with players across various DCs are also having issues. SE is discouraging statics from being cross-DC with the current state of things.
If you have to go to Dynamis, pick Rafflesia, Kraken, Golem, or Cuchu as those are the least populated Dynamis worlds. The other 4, especially Seraph are the OG's and more populated by default. They will spike to 30/40 up to 50 login queue and cause limbo ever so often. If you're going strictly for raid and already have 8 people, just transfer to OCE for free. OCE has like a third to half of the population of Dynamis before Dawntrail and they're all in a different time zone which means their population isn't in prime time hours like NA's is. It's never going to be congested, period.Same. My Aether static had to replace a member at nearly the last second and our 8th member is from Dynamis. From my understanding about Seraph it's not trying to go to Seraph itself but that having even one congested world on the DC greatly reduces DC travel so Dynamis is experiencing some of the same issues that the other NA DCs are.If you have to go to Dynamis, pick Rafflesia, Kraken, Golem, or Cuchu as those are the least populated Dynamis worlds. Yes and no. Seraph does affect the rest of Dynamis, but only Standard World classifications. There are none, so it functionally does nothing. The rest of Dynamis is classified as New instead of Standard like say Goblin.
This is the solution the other is the community spreading out and not dog piling. But the community refuses to spread out.My big point wasn't to cause problems but to open it up for people to express concerns regarding the DC travel system. why I do think this was a solution, I believe there could of been a better one. I am not sure what that is but limiting people from interacting with other data centers like this isn't it.
I wanted to pay for a home world transfer and still I'm not allowed to play where I had planned to since before making my character. It's been 4 months. There's no reason I should be disallowed a fair opportunity to play where I want, as a paying customer. I shouldn't have to suffer because other people do [things]. I can't even visit people. There's no reason to play, no reason to pay.
I'd be okay with this. They just should have left the 7.0 restrictions in place until 7.1~7.2; or, until the population on Dynamis and OCE was balanced to the population of other data centers. If they are going to change anything, they should go back to what they did at the start of Dawntrail: Only open the doors to Dynamis and OCE so those datacenters can be populated and helped until they figure out how to make a better system. Keep the other DCs locked to travel to, but everyone can travel out to Dynamis or OCE if they like.
What they've done with lifting those restrictions made things worse.
Doing anything end-game that requires at least 8 people in a tight configuration is rough right now as well. It feels like being in Shadowbringers Tuesday or Bust cycle all over again. But I still feel like this was a bad idea giving bonuses for having exactly one unique job in each role, because it funnels a lot of people into jobs they may not like to play just to be able to find a group. The entire end game of FFXIV is mired in bad design decisions in regards to how people really want to play the game.
PF is like playing Tetris trying to find the right set of pieces to stick together so a full group gets built, but you keep failing because someone is playing a viper and another person is playing a viper, or someone is playing a sage and then someone else they want to do stuff with is playing dancer, and you got a dancer already...

Only been a week took balming nearly 6 months to get a clue when they got locked down..Forcing people to spread out or even locking them down doesn't seem to work as planned though, given we not only have tons of people that refuse to free transfer to Dynamis despite all of the new housing (something a *lot* of people on Aether/Primal/Crystal have seemingly been complaining about for years about not having), but then you have someone like me on Maduin who found being forced to stay on Dynamis those few weeks to be so terrible I'm considering paying to go to a different data center, despite having a house myself even, because I don't want to experience this nonsense again of being trapped somewhere with iffy queue times because contrary to what Square-Enix wanted to believe, we were not in fact flooded with Travelers, and now we'll probably see even *less* as people scramble to get back to their preferred A/P/C destination because if they *have* be stuck somewhere, it sure as hell isn't Dynamis.
It might be a better course of long-term action to just finally update their server infrastructure so the Dynamis worlds could be added to Aether/Primal/Crystal instead (because now those three could handle the collective amount), and to finally do away with limited housing (because again, the servers could handle the indefinite instancing), because all of these "band-aid" solutions to move players around are starting to not stick anymore, including the ability to data center travel in the first place as certain worlds get their gates shuttered.
