    my ffXIV feedback! and idears

First off I would like to say this game is much much better since it first came out. I got the collectors version and here is my feedback on everything I have done so far as well some new ideas. There are all personal ideas and experiences not demands before you start trolling.

    #1 The level leafs/guild leafs

I think these are a good idea, but to me they are highly repetitive and become a chore after awhile. Hopefully they will be a bit better when the game re-releases without having to backtrack or teleport back to the home town to get more. Rather than when you have 8 or more that have been completed, and you need to exchange them to get a different ones or ones for a different area is to change how they are turned in or another method for fast travel to exchange or a world wide turn in when completed in the field. An example of this idea is to have them set up in the GUI in the journal so if I get 4or 5 for camp bloodstone, for example, it says camp bloodstone guildleafs quests/missions are done and ready to be turned in, and do that for every came or area while removing the said limit of 5-8 at a time so if you have all the teleport points in a whole area you can then travel to each area and do them all in one bunch without going back and forth every 30mins to an hour to get more.

#2 The experience base level being caped

To me this is extremely frustrating in various parts and I will try to cover them one at a time. The experience link I have no problem with and it is to me just a part of the party system and it's similar in the way it was done in FFIX. I realize that this game really wants to be set apart from it's predecessor but there are some things that should be pointed out that it seems this game has gotten wrong and repeated it's mistakes. Largely to this point is the lack of an option to grind level or power-leveling. Here is an example of what I am talking about. Lets say my friend is level 50 and I group with him/her and I am level 30. We go to an area so we can fight some things that are comfortable for me to help kill but they are just a breeze for my friend. I would betting zero experience because of the level cap and the wide gap along with the party split to experience. Regardless of how many monsters we would link and pull I would have to remove him from the group to get my self some good experience after they have been pulled. Even then it's still not a good way of doing this. If I want to play with my friend he has to wait for me to level up or we only play together. On the other-hand if you look at FFIX there was a amazing system to help curb this problem and that was to sync the level to a lower level of a person of the party so there was no penalty for wanting to group with someone who was higher. This helps a lot and should be looked over again as it was a great system. More so people would be more happy to progress on their own then then still have the ability to play with their friends or guild mates who are head of the curve.

    #3 Teleproting System

Again this is a good idea but one issue I have with it is all the point regeneration should have a quicker recharge timer than having to do more events. Another issue I have is with the home town / starting area. When I am out of points to teleport the travel time it would take on foot is insane even with the use of an airship. Generally a faster regeneration on this would be nice.

    #4 the map

I don't have much of an issue with this as I know the maps are being reworked and changed in general but some other changes to it would make it much more feature rich map. First areas that have a cave trial available would be nice rather than having to hoof it on foot or other means to check would save alot of time. Another thing is that perhaps a bounding area line or some way of being able to tell if an area is unreachable and is well distinguishable then having to walk up to a small hill and find out that it is impassable. I know that from an art and programing perspective that this could be a lot of work but if too many people are having a problem trying to read the map this needs to be reworked.

5# CGI Cut Scenes With Voice Over

This is not an issue rather a suggestion. I like when I watch a cut scene that it has voice overs it ads more feel and really draws you into them and they feel more like a reward than trying to read something very quickly. FFX had them, and while it is was not an MMO and a console game it was one of the things that drew people into the store more. It strikes me as odd that FFXIV has not got much in the way of voice overs and voice acting in general. If anything the main story should have voice over.

    #6 Questions regrading 2.0

I have a few questions about 2.0 mainly because of lack of information. There are not meant to be spoilers for the story.

    -question 1

When 2.0 is released will I have to buy the game again? Will there be a better option for getting the game like a digital release where we can download the client? Will there be a major patch to the current game or will there be a whole new client we will have to download and install?

    -question 2

What happens to the people like myself who spent extra money on the collectors version of the game? I know that with the extra money spent that we should get some sort of equivalent reward in the re-release.

    -question 3

My self as I'm sure many others are curious to hear more details on how the switch over to 2.0 will be handled. I know that we get to keep our avatars but what other things when the switch over happens will we get to keep. More so things like Items, bank, different in-game currencies, experience levels, ect. ?

    --------------
    A side note :

The placement of the mobs in the first camp seems very odd. There is a wide range of mobs from level 1 to level 20 and in some areas I can see up to level 80 monsters not far beyond the starting area. I'm curious as to the thoughts behind having the mobs being scattered so much and the level range being so wide rather than a more smaller range and more linear for the level progression areas.

This is my feedback on the whole and I know you all do feedback responses most of the time. I'm trying to add my feelings on the state of the game with keeping in mind the changes that are coming and my hope that it will surpass FFXI.

I do want to give a big thanks to the FFXIV team and the square-enix for trying to make this game a reality and make it the shining jewel we all want it to me. I support your company and the drive to make this work.
