It would be awesome if some songs were looked upon again. I always wondered what La Noscea's battle theme would be like orchestrated.

im worried about the quest based leveling, the way its in game right now is good. leve quests and party grinding is about even, its nothing more then a choice. whichever you prefer doing more. but if there gonna take that and make your optimal choice quest based then thats dumb. whos gonna want to grind then, sure some people would want to do it but you really think its gonna be enough to form a party easily? and if its using content finder to form a party then that takes away from the community, then im just partying with random people that i dont care about grinding for exp that is worse then the people doing quests.
i dont mind quest based leveling but i dont want that to be my main source of leveling up
all im saying is, im not liking the way its going. keep grinding an equal option

Well, quests only go so far and there is 7 jobs + 1 or 2 more jobs coming in ARR.. at launch if there is 300 quests each giving like 200-1000 exp a piece that's like 1 job, what about the rest of the jobs? I think people will have to Grind on mobs at some point or another.. but there are people the will be like I don;t wanna quest I wanna party and kill mobs! Its all in a matter of Preference..im worried about the quest based leveling, the way its in game right now is good. leve quests and party grinding is about even, its nothing more then a choice. whichever you prefer doing more. but if there gonna take that and make your optimal choice quest based then thats dumb. whos gonna want to grind then, sure some people would want to do it but you really think its gonna be enough to form a party easily? and if its using content finder to form a party then that takes away from the community, then im just partying with random people that i dont care about grinding for exp that is worse then the people doing quests.

Killing a bear for a pelt is pretty epic I agree. Anyone who thinks there's going to be some long epic quests to level up with are kidding themselves.I like how the term "mindless questing" comes into play. I didn't know that learning more about the story/world in Final Fantasy VII/IX/XII/Tactics/any other fucking game in the series was mindless. Because you certainly didn't need to grind mobs endlessly in those games, unless you were tackling superbosses.
I prefer camping over questing hubs, but christ this community is so full of shit. SITTING IN FRONT OF CRABS ALL DAY IS SO THOUGHT PROVOKING, BUT FIGHTING A MINOR ANTAGONIST IN A SMALL QUEST ISN'T.

Even the simple fetch quests gives you an opportunity to explore various parts of the area. See what monsters are in the area, and perhaps find an NM that drops nice gear for your leveling experience. All grinding did was make me hate being in the following areas:
Valkurm Dunes
Qufim Island
Yuhtunga Jungle
Yhoatar Jungle
East and Western Altepa Desert
Crawler's Nest (OMG....this place....)
Quicksand Caves
Kuftal Tunnel
Can go on, but my point is there.

Thanks for the link. Interesting, informative interview.![]()
Like others, I'm *so* glad they're getting rid of Speed Runs as a method for earning certain gear - Yay!I look forward to more creative and engaging methods to challenge players.
I'm curious how the Primals are going to become in 2.0, though:
RPG Site: Primal fights will become roaming in 2.0 for the summoning system; are there any specifics you could go into? Will weapons and things like that still be obtainable, and will there still be instanced fights like which are available in the current version?
Yoshida: Most of the primals will not be “roaming” the public areas, and their battles will still be instanced, though it will be more challenging to discover these instances.
Koji: It looks like there was a little bit of misinformation given at the E3 interview (and this may have been my fault, or it may have been Yoshida-san’s). The implication given was that all the primals would be roaming, and once they were summoned, they would pop somewhere else in the world. This is not the case. While roaming primal are still not out of the question, the summonable deities will be instanced-based, with the primal going back to these instances once they’ve been summoned. However, players will still have to look for these instances once they’ve become available, preventing camping.
So for players wanting to earn their Ifrit / Garuda / Leviathan / Titan Weapons in the future, will they have to run around and try and find the Aetherial Gate to jump to that Instance?
It almost feels like there would be 2 types of Instances per Primal: One for Primal Weapons, and one for earning the right to Summon them? (or maybe Primal Weapons will become rarer and it's all one and the same fight / instance?)
We'll have to see what the final implementation is like, but it's a bit sad if we end up having to camp various Aetherial Gates / Instance Entrances to see if, say, the Ifrit Instance is available again, instead of actually *seeing* Ifrit roaming around (randomly, anywhere in Eorzea) and people having to try and defeat him that way.
