12 runs of Honey B later...

Square Enix you massively fixed dungeon gear drops to be guarenteed but normal raids I still have to fight eight peoples worth of rng just for one chest token???

Normal raids are casual content why am I slogging through it every week? I totally get if it was a mount or rare minion to lose out but my weekly chest token really??

All that time I could have been farming for my extreme mount or crafting or anything else but because i get unlucky im forced to repeat the same fight twelve times. You said you would make gearing not so bad and you go and use the same awful system you been forcing for years.

Who is forcing you? Do those things if you want to. You don't need Normal Raid gear to do it.

A tip for rolling in normal raids to win the item you want:

First, roll "Pass" on all the items you don't want, and wait until those items start being distributed. Only then roll "Need" on the items you actually want.

The people who have already received an item will lose their chance to roll on the item you actually want. That way you have less competition. In this case you want a chest piece, so roll "Pass" on accessories, hand, head, legs and feet. Party members will win some of those tokens and leave the instance. Now you're only rolling against a couple of people for the chest.

This is based on the fact that many players will roll on multiple tokens because they don't really care what they win. So let them win the item you don't want.

In my experience everyone who wants them tends to get normal raid drops asap. So it doesn’t normally take long before the entire party is passing loot again. Ultimately it’s less about luck and more just about ‘do the content enough times’ and you’ll eventually get it.

Not ideal, but better than just consigning your fate to RNG lol. Basically if you keep trying your chances of getting are going to eventually approach close to 100%

    Alternatively, run with a group. Worst-case 8 kills. Best-case 1

Ill give this a try, kinda feels toxic to.hold people up though by not rolling.

I did need it for BiS actually... and after needing 12 times in a row I finally got it. The topic however is needed gear tokens shouldnt be tied to rng period. you should get your token for completing just like you get your piece in dungeons guarenteed.

Sometimes people just afk after the kill, they might just have somethings to do or simply alt-tab and forgot.

    Good luck, have fun!

You're rolling on everything else asap and only holding your roll on 1-2 items until the second people are done with rolling on the other items. Nothing toxic about it. Someone has to cast the last roll and it might as well be you.

If it's looking like other people are also holding their rolls on opposite items and nothing is happening, you can break the tie and cast your roll.
