you don't need to say that you don't care. You can just ignore and stop bumping things you don't care about.

"Don't care, didn't ask."

"If you don't care, why did you respond?"

Because deep down inside they really do care. For instance, when we see someone making a thread about how they dislike the game and they're quitting, we see the "I don't care" posts all the time. The person posting "I don't care" doesn't necessarily care about the thread creator leaving, but instead they care about the negative feedback they left and how it's damaging to the game's reputation.
