What would you like to see in Live Letter LXXXIII?

We've seen alot of negativity on the forums. Be it regarding the healerstrike, tanks soloing bosses, over-all class balance, MSQ as a whole, raid difficulty, the treadmill, the way stats work, and so on. A friend referred to it (perhaps over negatively) as a make-or-break Live Letter with how critically DT has been received. That got me to thinking what I'd like to see them address in the next letter, and what tone it should take.

Is there anything anyone is hoping to see in Live Letter LXXXIII particularly that would make them feel better about the State of the Game?

Personally, I just know what I don't want to see. I don't want to see them act like this is business as usual, this is the new normal, and there is nothing wrong. I'm not entirely sure what could be discussed that would make me feel better but I'm open to them proving me wrong.

What are your thoughts?

I just want them to aknowledge the MSQ didn't land like they expected it would. There are other issues, but the MSQ is the "pride and joy" of XIV's marketing, which makes it the most important to address however they can.

I'd be interested in seeing some statistics. Whilst the msq was clearly unpopular amongst most of those who frequent the forum/social media and some YouTube influencers, I do wonder if the overall (general) reception was the same.

I want to see an apology. For the MSQ, for the voice acting, for the Job Design, for the technical limitations. For how much every non-Hyur player is getting screwed over with helmets.

I want to see them actually acknowledge how much they have screwed up this expansion.

It'll never happen, but I can dream.

In a truly ideal world I’d like to see them acknowledge the many, many, many issues people have the healer and physical ranged role.
Knowing the devs though if they ever do another live letter it’ll just be the standard ‘give them nothing for 1 hour then play a trailer for the next patch storyline’. Maybe some mogstation/product announcements

It doesn't even have to be specific nor do i want an apology or anything.

All I want is to have the feeling that commenting matters at all, that I can hope for a better story going forward.

I would sincerely like to hear a bit about what they are planning for the future of the game.

With each expansion, the game becomes more tedious for those who intend to start playing, and now we have 100 levels separating us from a friend who just installed the game. Many people I knew gave up playing because they were playing alone, as most of the time you have to do these quests to reach the maximum level, where your friends will finally be waiting for you. It's time to see what they plan to do about this.

Moreover, one thing that made me stop playing is the lack of long-term content, which made me feel like I was paying a subscription to stay idle in Sharlaya or walk in circles. The island was a hope for something fun to do between patches, but it ended up being more short-term content, where after a few weeks, I would log in just to walk in circles too.

I would finally like to understand why there are so many cuts in game details. They had promised to add more details to the environment (they even showed screenshots of old maps that were empty, full of boxes, sacks of spices, etc.), and I saw nothing different. Besides the classic problem of cutting items dedicated to the anatomy of races, for items that are clearly a copy and paste of Hyur items.

I want them to announce something new that is here to stay, not just the same old things (I don't want another island that will be abandoned in 2 years, becoming dead content). Maybe some content that gives a reason for the Blue Mage and Beast Master to exist? I don't know, I miss something that makes my eyes shine and makes me excited to wait.

Anyway, it all involves what will become of the game from now on.
