CN FanFest highlights how abysmal NA FanFest last year was

China is having its XIV Fanfest this weekend, and the pictures and videos we've been getting on social media have been SPECTACULAR. Genuinely some of the coolest set pieces and theming I've ever seen at an event like this.

But it's a bittersweet feeling to see pictures of such an amazing event, considering that last year, NA Fanfest had:
- Lottery just to get tickets at all due to the smaller venue size
- Mojave Desert in the middle of summer (dangerous)
- Little to no accessibility for disabled patrons (dangerous)
- Long lines to see or do anything
- Not enough food or water (dangerous)
- Not enough items for all the people who did get tickets in the first place.

That's not even going into what EU and JP FanFests got, but with each subsequent FanFest after NA this go around, it's become increasingly clear just how bad the Vegas FanFest last year was.

It sucks. It just does. NA looks like less ADA compliant FFXIV flavored Dashcon next to this. What did it get? A couple far more sparse sets to stand around in and some screenshots of the game worlds tacked up on a wall, like it's the Glasgow Willy Wonka Chocolate Experience?

Please do better. Each region deserves a quality FanFest, not for the NA event to start looking like an actual scam in comparison to the CN event.

But I think you are comparing apples to oranges.

The attractions are beautiful, but you dont mention the logistical issues in China, which seems to be the crux of your complaints about NA.

Maybe they are better, maybe not, but we cant tell without more information.

From the videos I've been seeing and some of the comments, they simply aren't having any of those problems. All of the posts I'm finding are just people impressed and excited. This was NOT the case last year with NA FanFest. Like I just haven't heard of logistical issues being a problem at all, when hearing from my friends who went to Vegas and watching socmed, that was half the issue AND there wasn't much to see or do while there.
