FFXIV has never had AAA voice acting though.
There's no "soul" behind the english voices in FFXIV. Everything feels so lifeless and forced.
One can really hear how the actors are simply reading from a script.

They actually have accomplished actors in several roles throughout this game. Others are vet voice actors. There is a lot of good to great voice acting in this game.
