English VA is fine, Just because it didn't meat a small vocal minority expectations in *certain* parts doesn't mean it was entirely bad. A lot of people had had 0 to no issues with the voice acting apart from a small parts and thats not the VA fault, it has to do more with the production and direction.
Hi, we're not a vocal minority. Get over it.English VA is fine, Just because it didn't meat a small vocal minority expectations in *certain* parts doesn't mean it was entirely bad. Yes we are, I doubt forum goers even represent 1% of the playerbase. If forum goers weren't a vocal minority, the complaints would more often echo player data and we'd still be actively impacting the direction of the game, rather than going unheeded for the past 10 years or so.

Hi, I'm apart of the "vocal minority" too. English VA direction made the VA's sound lifeless, the choices for the voices weren't the best. Though Koana and most of the Mamool Ja were decent. Wuk Lamat was 20% good 80% unprofessional. I don't hate the voice, I just dislike their lack of acting ability, I felt no emotion from some scenes, felt like the lines were just being read and not acted out.

While we're at it.

english VA was absolute garbage and no not just wuk lamat. it was far below the quality we're used too. even stormblood is miles above it.English VA is fine, Just because it didn't meat a small vocal minority expectations in *certain* parts doesn't mean it was entirely bad. its ARR levels.. maybe even worse.

The character shall remain nameless, fell flat in delivering a good english VA. It lacked depth and more important, it lacked emotion. It was an almost monotone voice. No feelings came through, nothing. It was a continues flat voice. So no, it was not fine.
Don't look back, that's not the way you're going.

Don't keep games AAA, AAA games suck... and Larian showed what games should be like with Baldurs Gate 3 and in one simple strike put all current AAA games to shame.
The point is, it does not need to be perfect to be good.
True. AAA doesn't have much to do with it.
Just keep the voice acting high quality. Actually control what the VAs are doing. Check their microphones. Give them direction. And if they fail their takes for whatever reasons... Well, either redo them until the quality is up to par... Or find someone else.
This used to be one of the games where I'd recommend the English VA. Now it's just one more game where I'll tell people to switch to JP before they rage quit. It's a shame. We aren't paying any less, the drop in quality isn't acceptable.

Do you seriously not know Larian spent a motherlode on voice acting on BG3? Wouldn't suprise they spent at least triple the money on VA in BG3 comparing to what SE spent on DT. Either you're ignorance or you don't know what AAA means.
Just because an independent studio make a game means it doesn't it's not triple A, neither because a big publisher make a game it's automatically an AAA.
AAA is defined by the amount of budget investment, as well as the quality and production value. You're disillusion if you think BG3 is not an AAA game.
