FF14 galkas even have the "pet name" thing going on. FF11 players will know what that's all about, but is it even mentioned ingame in FF14?

I still miss the Screenshot of the FFXI-Highlander... since we have same Races in FFXI and FFXIV. lol
/sarcasm
Not to mention the Female Highlander, Female Roedygan, Male Mi'quote in 2.0
I like the new names. I think they are more inspired and creative than they were in XI.

Let's call ul'dah bastok.
On a serious note though, it was a bad idea to basically make the same races and call em something different. I wouldn't be upset either way at this point though.

Lazy?
'Everyone' does not call them the incorrect name. Congrats on being incapable of remembering a few words.
I remember them, not that I care enough to. I'm just not about to start changing my vocabulary on the races I've called by the same names for 9 years to appease a bunch of noobs rolling in from WoW. Savvy?
You're right I misspoke, "Everyone" doesn't call them by their original names, only skilled veterans who exceed at winning do.![]()

WoW...Someone's hurt.
Parts of me want to scream "GBTXI" or something, but it wouldn't do.
No...
Stop being a overly ego-hurt n00b yourself and go play XI if you care so much about it. (Damnit, oh well...)
As veteran players we should nurture the new players (not hold their hand, but guide, sure enough) as opposed to yelling at them to go back to WoW, or anything equally stupid.
At this point, even if 2.0 is well received, we should still try to build the community; because that's how MMOs keep players. No body wants to play in a world where the older, more experienced tell them to GTFO and actively try to keep them down.
Why are you trying to talk as if you're on my level when the only two jobs you have 50 are the two worst jobs in the game and you've never cleared any content past Moogles? If I'm a "n00b" whats that make you?WoW...Someone's hurt.
