Let me just say one thing, you will never get a relic without a presence of PLD or DRG in either 17m speedrun AV/CC or ifrit extreme. Even 2 DRG are norms these days for Garuda.

My ls was killing Garuda the day before yesterday they had 0 drgs in the group so I can whole wholeheartedly disagree with the statement that they are the norm.

I'll admit, because I was aggravated I intentionally disregarded the fact that PLD's have like a hand full niche fights in the game where they are preferable. So your like half right at best. There is however, absolutely nothing you need DRG for in this game and no situation where another job cant do better.

The fact that you think I'm making my self look foolish is subjective, I disagree and think the situation is inverted on you. I guess that's what happens when people don't see eye to eye. Since you're so intent on discussing this though I'll make a new thread, considering the mods don't want people getting off topic.

Will DRG and PLD still be next to useless in 2.0? There I made a thread for it.

LOL wait what? You saying for cc, av, garuda and ifrit extrme my group needs to have a drg? I beg to differ my group has done av and cc and we are working on ifrit extrme w/o DRG's. Ifrit extrme the mnks can break both horn w/o an issue.

No. Hyur, Mi'qote, Lalafell, Elezen and Roegadyn sound way better. Sure XI players refer to them as such, but I generally call them by their new and proper names over the XI counterparts unless I am talking to an old XI buddy then it just feels natural. Though to all the people that never touched XI that doesn't make much sense to them.

Yeah and somehow it turned from Names of the Characters problem and turned it into omg the names are breaking the game :P. ( I didn't read the whole thread.. didn't want to read all the Garbage :P).

There wasn't a direct relation between the names issue and that. People got off subject a little. I'm sure you're aware of that though, as if you wouldn't have taken the time to at least power read through it I doubt you would have taken the time to make a facetious post to express your frustration on the subject.

Edit: Also, why would I wanna read about a Pointless subject as "brings FFXI names to FFXIV". I like the names from 11 don't get me wrong , but this is a different game, a Different world, different Threats... And they did bring some things over from 11 ( like Auto- Attack). Keep FFXI to its own Unique self, and let FFXIV be Unique as well.. you know.. that is how FF games are anyways right? Unique?

I think anyone who wasn't familiar with XI have caught on by now to what people are talking about when they say Mithra, taru, etc. The only new one I think sounds better is Roegadyn, they look better in this game too. On the other hand tarus are way more creepy in XIV than they were in XI especially the ones with a mustache ><
