999 stacks for vendorable miscellany

Would it be possible to increase this from 99 to 999?

I'm primarily referring to allagan and nightworld pieces and salvaged/extravagant salvaged jewelry here, but also clear demimateria of all tiers.

For example I have a mere 498 allagan silver pieces, yet they're taking up 6 inventory slots when they could fit into a single one if they stacked to 999 as with some other items. As other items - both battlecraft, fieldcraft demimateria and krill for example - stack to 999, could this be an oversight?

I doubt it's an oversight. Players aren't expected to hold onto those items. They're expected to vendor the vendor trash right away and either use or sell the battle/fieldcraft demimateria fairly quickly.

It has to be a bit valuable or you'd not have alphanaud in the doghouse for spending some trivial sum on a sword nor people upset at estinien for buying a cheap hairtie.

Just sell them as you get them instead of waiting to fill 6 inventory slots. Retainer-> have retainer sell items if there is no vendor nearby. Problem solved. I only keep what I need for a few weeks of Doman enclave (clear demimateria III and platinum pieces).

The gil pieces are probably limited to prevent excessive gil laundering and RMT activity to some extent. 140 slots of 99 is already pretty massive for these items but a 10x increase isn't exactly gonna help that problem.

I'm sitting on a mountain of demi mateira. Currently valued at 5 million gil. And a page worth of several allagan peices. This is my dragons horde. People like me are rare and weird so naw I don't think it should be 999 cap. I'm hording this for nothing as it serves no purpose besides selling them.
