The removal of Noxious Gas from VPR not only removed one of the few "snake" identity components to the job but also made the job a lot more dull to play. It was a component that you truly had to think about, you had to be careful of overcap with Dreadwinder, now Vicewinder because they decided to change the names for literally no reason, and you also had to make sure you had enough for double reawaken. Now there's just no chance of you dropping any kind of buff or debuff, the job boils down to press the glowy buttons and press your weaves. It's painfully dull.

A big part of why I, and so many others, do not like these changes (aside from how bad the changes were as a whole) is because of how they just came from nowhere. The dev team listened to the feedback of "don't change the positionals" but failed to grasp the other message of "don't alter the job, it's fine how it is". We need more clarification about the changes to jobs that are going to be made before they go live, not added in patch notes during maintenance. You've got to remember that these jobs are more than just things people press buttons on, they're the core of the very combat system of FFXIV. People who like these jobs need to be able to input if there is ever going to be a change to it that is going to severely affect the way it plays.

I'm just tired of jobs I enjoy getting dumbed down or changed because someone who doesn't have an interest decides it's too hard for them. It happened to me in 6.3 with PLD and I wasn't able to fill that void with another job until VPR in Dawntrail. Now the parts of the job I enjoyed are taken from me. If I honestly didn't have a commitment to a static I would very likely just not be playing the game right now, I have 0 faith in the abilities of the development team to create interesting jobs. I'm just sick and tired of it.
