Lag since patch 7.05

I've had really bad lag since the last patch as is my partner on a different computer. We called my ISP who had us do some testing and we concluded that it wasn't an issue on their end but rather a server issue potentially. I'm on kujata elemental (as is my partner ) and we also have a friend on the same server who has a different ISP but isn't experiencing this lag issue. It's been consistently getting worse since the patch. I now disconnect from the server constantly without seeing the dc icon now while in instances and people freeze and fast forward or teleport. The lag started in solution 9 after the patch on Tuesday and ir happens in crowded areas or within instances. Our ip had us do a tracert test and it was around 157ms. We also had a friend who is with telstra do one ,he doesn't have this issue of lag, and he had around 146ms so my ISP doesn't think it's an issue with their end because of this. I'm not tech savvy so I don't understand it and had to have my partner run all the troubleshooting. We had others in our fc say they had issues of lag and dc too. I'm with Aussie broadband and I don't use a VPN. Though we have a VPN for our router , we tried it and I couldn't even boot the game so that was a bust. My partner uses the WiFi connection. I use a router which I think is used Like an aimesh or something. He's on steam and I use the default Windows client. Lag is constant in game and I'm dc every couple of minutes if in an instance. We are from Melbourne, Victoria Australia. Been troubleshooting with the ISP for the past 3 days. They had us check with a speed test on both computers , wired and unwired, tracert, restart router and nbn connection etc.

I have had this same issue since patch. I’m on PS5. And on Elemental Atomos.

Same issue and I'm also on Elemental DC, I'm on PC Windows. I was getting a bit of lag before 7.05 but was still able to farm extremes, but ever since the new patch I've been getting constant packet loss. Just doing fates in the overworld feels awful.

Same here and it inly started 7.05. I'm on ps5 and pc. Also kujata, and aussie broadband.

If I ping the the jp DCs I will get packet drops which is when I get the rubber banding.

Now if I jump to materia no issues. Because I'm dropping packets I'm leaning towards an aussie broadband issue as I get no packet drops on my 4g hotspot lol.

I forgot to mention it only seems to happens during peak times as when I was wfh on Thursday I had no issues during the day in my lunch break for roulette. Also, tested ping all day and it was fine until evening.

I've been on the phone with Aussie for the past 3 days and they were adamant that it wasn't an issue with their internet connection. I noticed the same thing, Go to materia, its fine no lag nothing. Perfect for gameplay and I would have loved to play but there's too long of queues if I even manage to get it to pop over there for the content I want to do. We thought perhaps it was a routing issue. Aussie said their connection goes through Singapore and maybe there's an issue there but I dont think they knew what the issue could have been. We tried testing everything and from our tracert results along with an additional result from a friend who is with I think telstra and has no issues in game (same server), they concluded that it was a game server issue. Probably trying to not be at fault but I'm still at a loss as to how to fix it. I cannot even do crafting or gathering at this point and if thats out of the question, what Can I do in game in its current state for me. Pretty much nothing which is sad.

Yeah, similar to you can't do anything really. Not much we can do. My friends on superloop, telstra, optus have no issues.

So weirdly today the packet loss has stopped for me, and my connection was good enough to double weave while doing dungeons and m2s. Doing a tracert showed that this time, my route still goes through singapore, but goes through Tata Communications servers before then going to Akamai servers, which then goes to japan. My tracert still shows that akamai servers are continuing to struggle though. We'll see what tomorrow brings.

Same issue here, i'm on Elemental Tonberry.
i thought i was the only one getting lag spike and RTO..
