Please: Notifications when friends come online

It's always seemed weird to me that I get notifications when FC members come online (depending on the FC, you might not even them) but I don't get notifications when the people I explicitly chose to be friends with come online.

I'd love it if we could get notifications when people on our Friends List come online. Potentially with an option to turn it on or off for those who wouldn't want this.

You know what? I'd like this too. Even if it only goes off if you're in the same world as said friend.

It would be useful. On the other hand, I would also like the option to log in invisible. Sometimes I don’t have much time to play and just want to be in my own bubble without being swamped with DMs and people dropping at my house for a chat when I try to craft.

Please make it optional on the end of the friend that comes online if they want to notify others or give me some kind of "Discord invisibility" then.
I like chatting with my friends but I am already annoyed by the FC notification.

Probably just me but I just like to have at least some kind of "own time", even with my real life friends.

I'll just add that I agree that Invisible Status that works for both FC and friend list would be a great thing to add alongside this. I definitely have friends who have told me that sometimes they don't even log in despite wanting to play because they don't have the energy to be social with the FC and just want to play alone.

Personally? No. I don't want more stalkery features in the already stalkery friendlist.
I'm perpetually online because you either choose busy or not.
I also have added way too many people that I don't wish to remove, but I don't care to get notified about every single one....the chat spam would be annoying.

Personally, I'd turn it off. But I have nothing against the suggestion, provided we can also remove ourselves from ppls friends list; because I think when we unfriend ppl, we're still on their friends list.

How about if it were opt-in? As in, you would need to tick a box on your end for anyone on your friend's list to get said notification?
