    The 2min-burst has become the game's current foundation for "streamlining" job/content designs. You just follow the same protocol, and basically anyone can come up with a new boss or job. Say, we'll add another tank at some point. We name it "Tank5", give it a TBN-like skill, Rampart, Guardian-like skill, Dark Missionary-like skill, invun, and a base kit that includes a 60-sec burst. Maybe spend a few more minutes to decide those funny but pointless skill names. Done. A new job!

    Changing this foundation means overhauling old and new content from the beginning, I highly doubt the devs are willing to pour in such massive work.

    What we are dreaming about:
    *remove 2min meta
    *healers become actual healers
    *jobs are unique instead of the same role with different skins

    Also this is going to get personal. I'm about to express my opinion of the biggest joke in this game: the Red Mage.
    They gave us a handy option to "reduce button slots taken" by fusing certain skills into one. Yet Red Mage's three swordplays still take three slots. For how many years now?
    Red Mage's "job gauge" is utterly pointless. You can delete half of Red Mage's stuff and it will still play as usual.
    When RDM first came out I thought you can achieve different tactical effects by overloading black or white mana. Turns out those numbers don't mean a thing.
    From how RDM works in PvP, we can tell that the devs do know how to make unique job plays. But they can never do that in the main content cause that will break stuff, i.e. the stable streamline they worked so hard till now to maintain.
