delete all raid buffs and let classes line up their own buffs without caring about the party
let bard/dancer/astro have very short cd buffs they have to use strategically with their party instead of the party working around them

They kinda tried that in Stormblood and it just meant the non-synergy jobs like Black Mage were excluded from parties and jobs that did have synergy became lock-ins you had to take (i.e Bard and Dragoon).

I hate the 2-min meta as much as anyone but I really don’t see them ever changing it at this point. That’s more or less the only party support that devs will ever be allow to exist in ffxiv, because basically it’s too much work for them to balance

Fun part is the most raider say Stormblood was peak raiding time. Tbf you still have classes which getting excluded. If you look to statistics and your party cares for good dmg then for now AST is over WHM and all want an Astro MCH is a problem since stormblood and all would likely pick a DNC or BRD Paladin same issue and so on surely in pf or friend statics you can play what you want but high grps will preferly exclude MCH or now WHM for example. don kill me just grinding statistics anyway you will always have classes which performs "more bad" the question is here "is it reasonable". For the topic itself why should they change it at all? the most players of this game are Casuals like in every MMO. Raider kill the raid get gear and will most likely not seen for the next months till the next tier. Most Casuals dont care about Meta or even Buffwindows. For example i did the first DT trial in the roullete. while my buffs been up i had a desynced AST buff no chain strat.... and so on beacuse they dont care which is in my opinion completly fine since its just story content. So i dont think they will bother to change something what most palyer arent even know it exists. They might know the buffs exists but not all think okay theres a burst window we have to use our buffs there.

Balance be damned tbh, the game is incredibly boring catering to this stuff.
Even mch thats been memed as the worst job for a long time is still incredibly viable and i see it in savage/ultimate all the time, so i don't think it'd be that bad
