First of all, I would like to thank the people at Square for owning up to their faults and the failure of this game at launch. It was unbelievably bad. Instead of running away from the problems, trying to feed us lies and empty promises, they completely revamped a lot of things. There's a lot to be said about that.
But, sadly, an honest effort isn't always an effort that will pay off. I think that there are so many problems that need more attention than they are getting.
My suggestions in order of importance
-Auction house, or some form of quick marketing. For a game that depends so much on player crafted items, it'd make things run more smoothly if we had a way to quickly get what we needed.
-Players should run faster (or the option to do so). It's ridiculous when it takes 5 minutes to run from one side of Limsa Lominsa to the other. I like the sheer size of places in the world, but it's a pain to have to run around everywhere.
-don't crash when minimizing fullscreen. I don't know how much of a problem that is with people other than me, but I get an error when I try to minimize fullscreen. If that is a part of the game, please remove it. I don't want to have to play in windowed mode just so I can look up something real quick.
-There needs to be some form of PVP. If there isn't world PVP, then there needs to be some kind of competitive system where players can measure up with each other. I don't care if it's competitive fishing, you can't expect people to craft and pve all day. Variety is desperately needed.
-Better animations & effects. While flow and gameplay are most important, it seems like Square almost ignored this completely. In other games, there's a certain satisfaction in killing someone by flaming boulders, or that satisfying sound of a rogue stabbing someone in the back. I feel like I'm playing a game of mathematics with a mindless mob rather than owning them.
I will likely get flamed ridiculously or something, but I just felt I needed to add my two cents. I have loved Final Fantasy since I was a kid. I want this game to succeed, and that's why I have stuck by it and checked up on it. I won't accept and pay for a mediocre product, but I will continue to give this game a chance just because of what I want it to be, and I'm sure most people who sign up for these forums can agree with me on that.
