This is what bugs me about macros. They seem so sluggish, as if the game needs a second to react to every line.

I'd love a way to save action sets. Especially if it got rid of having to deal with that pesky shield of mine dropping guard in the first available slot when I change to a shield user.

Right, it's not a huge game-breaking problem but it is an inconvenience that could be (fairly) easily fixed. I like having my macros organized and I have no idea how many classes we're going to be getting. Because of that it's hard to keep them organized without thinking that someday down the line I'll have to probably move a bunch down a line or over and that involves rewriting each and every macro that needs to be moved.

So far I've gotten by on 1 gear macro and 1 skill macro for each class but those only cover the basic needs. Especially for skills, my macros only cover 1-5 on bars 1 and 2. I have a separate macro for bar 3 but I tend to keep universal skills there. These problems are mostly the result of only allowing 10 lines per macro slot.

Not only that but as you move through the ranks you have to go back and manually edit each macro to reflect any new skills you've received. Also if you want to change your bars around you have to go and edit the entire thing.

The current system is tolerable but it honestly has the potential to be much better. Sure it's a luxury feature but the little things you deal with constantly make a big difference in the long run.

This in a nutshell describes not only this minor annoyance but many others. Having the little things conveniently organized into sensible and efficient systems makes a great many other things tolerable even if they're not quite perfect. You have a lot less patience to spread around when most of it is consumed by a myriad of little things that aren't necessary in the first place.

I agree. I believe that at least the "current" action palletes and armor of each class should be saved so, when you change weapon, all the rest equip automatically instead of having to use 3 macros and wait like 3 min to completely change classes with macros.

I don't this saving multiples palletes (as some are asking in other topics) is really needed, but saving the current palletes and gear do is needed IMO so the game can have a smoother flow for high rank players.

I don't mind macroing gear so much as I do macroing skills. Gear is easy, there's fewer slots to handle. With skills there are 30 (minus basic attack) possible slots and sometimes you need to set more than 10. All I really want out of the system is that if I equip my Pugilist weapon, my skill bars are automatically set back to how they were the last time I used Pugilist.

That's been in the works since forever, but with the redesigning of a lot of the core elements I think it's been put into hiatus.

Very good idea, I find it annoying when I have to keep editing all my skills about while changing and I change job quite often and it usually delays the party abit.

All for this idea or something similar.

Seems like(I could be wrong) a lot of the dev responded posts occur when a thread has high responses / views so prob gonna have to bump this or make it more known somehow.
