Why I'm Cancelling My Sub

It really is the Viper changes, it's utterly ridiculous. I've loved everything about DT, even the story. But, I already work a job irl where if someone above me doesn't understand my job, they want to change the way I do it to a way that makes sense to them, but doesn't make any logical sense to my job. I'm seeing pretty much the same thing anymore in this game.
In this case in FFXIV, a small minority of players have misunderstood something, blamed everyone and everything except for themselves, and then the devs give in to this mentality.

I played this game especially to escape the politics of the world we live in. At this point, this game has just as much of its own politics as the real world between its own players and developers and I don't want to be a part of it anymore.

BLM is an inverse example of this. Players literally said during the media tour that it would have trouble with mp management at lower levels due to mana tick changes and not having Umbral Ice. Nothing was done. Only after DT released and people struggled and complained did they implement UI at a lower level, and also halting the timer outside of combat.

I don't know how you could logically ignore the Black Mage comment pre-DT but hyper-focus and make a knee-jerk reaction based off responses from day 1 Viper. At this point I'm genuinely surprised that Death's Design wasn't removed for the first savage tier of Endwalker.

I just can't support the game anymore if this is indicative of future job changes, and I don't want to wait to find out, I'll save myself the disappointment and frustration.

When I say this, it's not to doom-post or insult anyone. It's my honest thoughts and feelings on the matter and hasn't changed at all in the past few days.

i dont mind you quitting if you dont like the game anymore. but making yet another post about it is just obnoxious. its not an airport you dont have to announce you departure.
its people like you that causes the devs to avoid the english forums like a plague. and i honestly dont blame them

i hate the mentality of defenders of DT lately. every piece of critique is whining geez. stop complain and eat whatever god and savior Yoshi gives you
