What do you think about Linkshell Tabards?

That would be neat. Maybe put that on Free company Officers. So they can't hide when you need permissions for mumble fixed. *tackles the guy with the big officer banner* "Saw ya a mile away, sucka!"

A side-cape, shield, shoulder plate, robe...etc etc...well doesn't have to be tabard.

I love the idea of a side cape or shoulder plate, depending on if your wearing armor, or leather or cloth the item can vary. It can easily be a singular item that changes form depending on what job your on.

In the past I have also suggested that Blacksmith and or Armorer be able to craft a Linkshell / Company Coat of Arms and a Weaver craft a Wall Scroll or Hanging tapestry displaying the Linkshell / Company crest. These items would be displayed in your home or Grand Company house.

Hopefully it'll be gear that has its own slots and not something we already wear for stats. Because if the GC-Logo chestplate is garbage compared to a tank or DPS chestplate, guess which one people are going to wear.

Haha, I knew when I used that picture, that was a mistake to garner support. Which is why I added that second picture right away, to convey my message that it doesn't need to be a tabard, it could be a logo, a symbol on upper arm, a shoulder plate.

Idk how it worked for Aion but it did and still does. Only takes them like 5 min to screen an image and that games even F2P now.

and i'd rather SE hire someone who can actually do tech support than someone who just looks at images all day for customization of tabards.

screening also takes more than 5 minutes. what are you basing your assumption on? are you in a legal department? do you screen copy rights for a living? less risk to make it non-uploadable. not going to happen.

Did you guys say you wanted your free company logos emblazoned on your gear?

Although it may not be tabards, we are planning to allow the placement of free company logos onto certain equipment when free companies are introduced! There will be limitations on what equipment and other objects that can have the logos placed onto them of course, but that's to be expected.

As for those that were suggesting a bonus for displaying your free company's logo on your gear, we currently have no plans on adding this.

I am completely against this idea, and there are a lot of reason for it. The main reason that stands out is that FFXIV is takeing way to much from other games, and not taking enough from its own series. #2 I dont want to be forced to wear anything that I dont like (and we know how some linkshell leads can be). Now that is just the top 2 reason but I am not gonna sit here and type every reason.

as far as we can tell what the rep response tells us is you can imprint a FC logo onto armor, sounds like it is optional.
