What do you think about Linkshell Tabards?

You got something you need, but why force to see something i don't like (in case it's ugly, not fantasy at all).

And if i don't like your gear choice, can i make you naked? and if i don't like you naked, can i make you invisable? Maybe you like your hat, but i don't. So should i be able to hide your hat from me? Your presenting Your character with the hat YOU want to be in. Why should i have choice over what represents you?

If i didn't like your chars hair, can i change it? color it? Make you bald?

If people are able to wear a tabard to represent themselves as part of a group. The item is nearly meaningless if that person doesn't have control over their own wardrobe.

To be blunt. How a persons character looks should up to that person. Be it Tabard, Hair, Gear or Clown nose.

They could do something similar for crafting. When you're building your free company and insignia, you can craft a certain piece onto sets of armor, and distribute them within your Free Company's bank/shop for other members to buy/use at their own will. Allowing the item to only be tradable to people in that company, of course. It can add a layer of uniqueness to each person's shell, rather than just the generic tabard that WoW had. Have your own crafting gear with your FC's insignia, similar to the GC gear. Etc. Give them more identity than what linkshells do at the moment.

Not really sure how that applies. My main point is simple. If you don't like the idea of tabards, then just be honest and say so. Option for viewing others according to your tastes is so much worse.

maybe a cloak, but not a tabard. i think it takes away too much of the armor you're wearing, and can only see whats on the tabard, plus it almost always will clash with whatever you're wearing underneath and your character will look hideous.
