Although it may not be tabards, we are planning to allow the placement of free company logos onto certain equipment when free companies are introduced! There will be limitations on what equipment and other objects that can have the logos placed onto them of course, but that's to be expected.

As for those that were suggesting a bonus for displaying your free company's logo on your gear, we currently have no plans on adding this.

I am thinking more along the lines of Corp logo's from Eve. many many options you can combine with layers. But all of the options are provided by the game maker.

Thank you for this I am glad. I knew from beginning it won't look like the tabard from that other game, firstly it covers too much of the gear, secondly it just doesn't look good. Thanks for having something that can fit in FF14.

Hopefully it'll be gear that has its own slots and not something we already wear for stats. Because if the GC-Logo chestplate is garbage compared to a tank or DPS chestplate, guess which one people are going to wear.

This is my main issue with the idea of logos. If its not available on the top of the line stuff, then it gets un-used on the scale many Free companies would probably enjoy. I like the idea of badges, armbands etc, but it runs into similar issues the lack of vanity slots do. what folks would love to look like the majority of time, they can't, albeit on a smaller scale.

Still i applaud having GC badges (please put them on the little metal badge that hangs from the chest of the Darksteal Haubergeon too ^^ )

Haha, I knew when I used that picture, that was a mistake to garner support. Which is why I added that second picture right away, to convey my message that it doesn't need to be a tabard, it could be a logo, a symbol on upper arm, a shoulder plate.

How about a new slot for back like in FFXI but make them visible this time around? That way we could make Player Company or earn Grand Company based cloaks. Then have the ability to turn it on or off like the head slot.
