When are we going to get SEA Steam released from the region ban?

Currently all 5 SEA zones are banned from playing the game on steam. Are we going to get the region ban lifted?. If no, I would like to know why the reason of this decision. Heck it's been 10 years at this point why am I even asking lol.

    >I moved to Japan
    >Played the game, Bought the whole expansions.
    >Trying to invite my friends in my home country (SEA) to play the game.
    >They can't even find the game on steam because it's region restricted.

The reason I'm begging SQEX to release the ban, is because most people in SEA don't have credit cards, due to reasons. So there is no way for them to purchase the game via website.

Even if they have CC, it would still be difficult to convince them to play because, people in my country are not used to own games on third party platforms and prefer to own games on steam.

Banned SEA countries based on steamdb :
    Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippine, Thai, Vietnam.

They didn't ban SEA, they are simply enforcing policy. That policy hasnt been updated since 2016. Either willingly or by the hand of Valve after the HellDivers 2 debacle with Sony.

They shouldn't be selling the game to regions that they don't support. It is SE fault for taking this long to patch the holes.

The most likely reason is local laws and taxes, not worth the hassle or cost.
It is what it is, but people dont read the policy when making accounts.

I understand now. You are right, they don't have any authority on this. Thank you for the link and response
