Body Customization

I figured I'd take a shot in the dark here to file my complaint since it's been 10 years this game has been out and The Sims 4 was out shortly after. And seeing as apparently complaints is what caused Viper to change, wouldn't it be nice to see this change be finally implemented?

I would love to see body modifications such that people can pick whether they want their character to be fat, more muscular, or whatever. I realize that we pretty much have simplistic models, but I thought Dawntrail's promise was a better game engine.

Considering the customization options in other MMORPGs, such as Black Desert Online, and the improved graphics seeing in FF7 Remake, while we have an upscale of textures, it still feels like we're playing a 10 year old game with certain programming design choices which are seemingly set in stone.

I'm surprised Square is not running a private version of ChatGPT or something to help with these issues.

Problem with this game is they refuse to update their background systems until they feel forced. SE doesn't put a lot of the money we spend back into the development of the game. That's why even with the graphical updates, the game still feels like it's a 2005 MMO. If you look at the evolution of WoW, they did a great job with upgrading the game's engine over time. I wish SE would do the same

I like WoW, but every customization and advancement they have added is just "tacked on" to the old game. They can't even figure out how to make every skin color available with every face. I don't think they are changing skin color the way FFXIV dose. It's like they were creating a new face for every combination and just ran out of time. They are only recently making skirts where legs exist, kind of. And their physics are... sad. FFXIV may be behind the times, but it's far ahead of WoW on most things.

They have no body customizations that changes the shape of the model, other than Orc slouching I suppose.

EDIT: Dracthyr have some minor body shape options, but they are also very limited in what they can wear in dragon form.

We won't ever see major changes unless SE completely ports this game over to a brand new engine which won't ever happen. The graphical overhaul was good and it just made things look better without altering the art direction. It's subtle changes but honestly it's how I wanted it to be done. Many of the things people keep asking for just aren't possible on this games current engine.
