I figured I'd take a shot in the dark here to file my complaint since it's been 10 years this game has been out and The Sims 4 was out shortly after. And seeing as apparently complaints is what caused Viper to change, wouldn't it be nice to see this change be finally implemented?

I would love to see body modifications such that people can pick whether they want their character to be fat, more muscular, or whatever. I realize that we pretty much have simplistic models, but I thought Dawntrail's promise was a better game engine.

Considering the customization options in other MMORPGs, such as Black Desert Online, and the improved graphics seeing in FF7 Remake, while we have an upscale of textures, it still feels like we're playing a 10 year old game with certain programming design choices which are seemingly set in stone.

I'm surprised Square is not running a private version of ChatGPT or something to help with these issues.

Problem with this game is they refuse to update their background systems until they feel forced. SE doesn't put a lot of the money we spend back into the development of the game. That's why even with the graphical updates, the game still feels like it's a 2005 MMO. If you look at the evolution of WoW, they did a great job with upgrading the game's engine over time. I wish SE would do the same

That will never ever happen in this game. It's not built for it.

Equipping a new piece of gear is literally equipping a new torso. It's too much work to even get adjustments for the small customization we do have because it's an entirely new model, you generally just get one body part per race/gender and that's it. It would be a huge endeavor to change all that now.

The graphics update is mostly just textures and lighting. They really overhyped it for the laymen, imo.

I highly doubt the game is even capable of doing this but even if it were, I also highly doubt the devs want PSO2 abominations running around. I can understand the desire for more character creator options though. Hopefully they do a pass and add more options in the future.

I've been playing FFXIV for over a decade now so I'm used to always compromising.

I'll accept HQ bodies only for revealing outfits and swimsuits if updating ALL the clothes is too cumbersome. Fine, I'll give up on nips but can we have a muscle tone slider?

Character bodies should be updated. Bodies look quite jarring now with the difference in quality compared to faces and heads. Additionally, a lot of gear shows skin in varying degrees, adding further weirdness to equipping the new detailed outfits revealing low resolution bodies.

They improved the polygons on the fingers but they're still a long way to go. Toes look better now though.

We definitely need more details on nipples, Adam's apples for males, muscles, veins, etc.

I've asked them about this before, should you wish to like and leave a comment on that other thread too.

I’m not sure, but i think nipples on male are not present because something related to the rate of the game (Pegi in EU).

I mean, nipples can be represented by two dot on the diffuse texture, in their base form, without adding any geometry (we still have rectangular fingers, if you know what I mean).
There is no reason to not have them besides something that may feels like “oh gosh. Look! Nipples”

Males do have nipples, they're just very low resolution.
