I can deal with the American classic jazz in the main city but what I really dislike is the end credits song "Smile." What the heck happened with that? The singer is struggling throughout the entire song to match the correct pitch, not to mention this song also feels out of place with its gospel-like theme. It's a rare Soken L imho.
The Legends of the Titanmen lives on, a shining example of the power of compassion and the ability of people to make a difference in the world. A reminder that even in the darkest of times, there is always hope, as long as there are heroes like the Titanmen who dare to do good deeds in Eorzea.
Yea, it's not that great for the setting. I don't go to Tural anymore though, so it doesn't bother me.
It's probably the over-exposition, but every hub city's theme for every expansion just gets under my skin very quickly.
Usually I really like the boss/battle themes but DT is not doing it for me.

I really disliked the music this time around...which is a shame because I was looking forward to it!
The only memorably songs to me were the Heritage Found day and night themes. I've seen many complaining about the end credits song and while I didn't hate it, it definitely wasn't good...
I hope that the sound team can either take a break or allow new talent to work on the patches/future expansions. I feel like they may be burnt out (if I'm remembering correctly, Soken even said that he struggles with the upbeat themes that are often assigned to him).
your daughter calls me BLU too.

I feel the music took a significant drop in quality compared to previous expansions and most of the music didn't fit the themes of any of the areas. There is some music I thought was ok and liked the ff9 music but music like smile I thought I was watching a Disney channel teen show. The music seemed to be all over the place this time around and seemed soken was told to write types of music he wasn't use to writing or was uncomfortable creating and just lost creativity or ran out of ideas. Usually I would have a hard time picking specific music pieces I liked the most because I would love all the music of an expansion but this time I couldn't think of any memorable pieces. I don't know if soken is burnt out or they told him to write "happy vacation" style music but hopefully they allow him to go back to writing the type of music he is known for and good at producing.

That is when the true Vana'diel of legend will be reborn.
Jazz in the city? Heck yes? It's amazing.
