This is something of a question for the Lore and World teams.

When the world changes from 1.0 to 2.0, we expect certain landmarks and things to disappear forever, such as the way things change over time. But what I would like to see.. is some sort of information on things that never made it into production because they didnt fit with Yoshi-P's vision for what XIV should become.

For example.. Tam-Tara Deepcroft .. Now, I dont think I've overlooked its reference in any quests, I stay ontop of them and really do try not to just read through things. I've never seen a Levequest put me into the area, its filled with lvl44-50'ish level mobs, ranging from doremice, floating eyes, puddings, hogs and miqote npc poachers. There's some sort of ceremonial area in the lower areas of the dungeon, with a bunch of rooms that are sort of unremarkable, but they had to have some sort of prior purpose, no?

I recall seeing someone say they the dungeons are all supposed to live on past the transition, but I also take that as in the Active Dungeons are all going to exist, what about these areas that have never been used?

There's areas, from what I can tell, scattered out across 3 three of the main regions that are unused, blocked off or sealed up in some fashion, which obviously lead to a dungeon of some kind.

If the Lore and World design teams are pretty much done with 2.0 as it is now, maybe they can get together and start shedding light on what mysteries this world has that werent ever revealed. Unless, of course, some of those mysteries are meant to live on to be used in a later date.
