Am I stupid? King Puffer

Finally getting around to doing the Wachumeqimeqi quests for fishing, and I've already hit a brick wall.

First quest, catch King Puffer. Crimson Lugworm, docks right outside the tent. Collector's glove on, easiest quest I've ever done...

...This fish does not exist.

I think I've cast about 50 times now and I have not caught a single one of these fish.

Nobody else seems to have this problem in what searching I've done. Unless I need to cast at a specific time, which neither the quest nor other people's testimonies say...



Homie doesn't even show up in the log. Just the Idiotscale, Floating Freak, Blue Bastard, and Henry Cavill.

Am I stupid?

Comments say the bite is between 11-17 secs

My fishing log also says they're not there, but I just did the quest now and I caught 2 of them back-to-back with the crimson lugworms. So I dunno what's going on for you.

Finally got some to land. I don't know if there's a time requirement that wasn't mentioned by anyone, but after 50 no-puffer casts, 4:30 AM ticks around and every fish I catch is a King Puffer until I have enough for the delivery.
