Synthing - Lack of delay for some

Good day gentlesirs and ma'ams,

I was sitting at ifrit today and this character Ouka Leonhart was synthing next to me. He was crafting so fast that I couldn't even see the animation for fails or success. Now, I've seen this before - but never this bad.

Does anyone else notice these speed synthers? I'm assuming it's some kind of latency or server issues, but I could be wrong.

Nope, it was a lot slower than that (thank god it wasnt that fast). He was definitely synthing something because he was using abilities toward the end of the synth.

If you time it right you can perform the actions continuously with very little delay in between, but this almost sounds faster than that.

I've mouse spammed things as soon as they're available. I couldnt match his speed no mater how fast I clicked. I recorded him on my iphone but only really know how to upload it to fb. ><

using the 4 skills that give just progress (20, 20, 30, 30) can finish a synth in 4 steps, if crafting leve items, the animation wont be seem by others in certain areas.

This happens sometimes with latency, but I'm not sure how fast you're speaking of exactly.
As far as I know it's nearly impossible to hack FFXIV

If the game client receives a bunch of data late, then the client will speed up the animations in an attempt re-sync the game.
Another noticeable symptom is that you have people move fast, stop moving, move fast repeatedly.

I think some players use turbo controllers for this so their actions can be executed more quickly than what is possible when a human finger is pushing the button.

If they are using abilities at some point, then it probably means there is someone home and at least they aren't just botting.

ps- We can't see other players' repair actions anymore, so it can't be them repairing their gear.

Why is everybody so blind to the fact that this person simply lives in Japan, closer to the servers? I can say with a lot of confidence that all previous explanation attempts are incorrect.
