Data Center Travel Issue

Just logged into this place for the first time today to report the same exact thing happened to me when trying to travel. Now I can't even get past the travelling screen with the timer.

After anywhere from 2-20 minutes I'll get a 2021 or 505 error and it exits the game.


UPDATE: After about an hour or so of trying and erroring I was finally able to get to the character selection screen and log in.

I think we have to wait until the transfer finishes? Sounds like it takes an hour or so. I won't be travelling back until like 6am thats for sure.

My transfer ended up taking about 1hr 15 mins to get from A to B, then a bunch of errors, then about 1hr 15 mins to get from B to return home to A. I don't think I will transfer off data center until the issue is resolved.

Yes mine just arrived at the new DC but I get "visitors cannot login to this server" and so I just started the journey home. It said "1 minute estimated" but I expect another hour+ to get back to the home DC.

For anyone seeing this it is about a 2.5 hour journey there and back before we can play again.

Still crashing due to error 505 and 2021.

I don't understand why Square Enix are still radio silent? This has been going on for several hours now and several of my friends' raid nights have been cancelled because of this.

had it today, stuck about 25 minutes earlier, with error, but entered. A friend of mine is trying to travel to Dynamis and than broke, we're stuck for about half an hour...

Had the same problem, saw in another post to delete the Final Fantasy XIV folder in Documents > My Games, I had to do it twice but it worked however that means deleting all your configuration, so do a backup copy before deleting it

Update: create a copy of FFXIV.cfg, then delete it and try login again, repeat until you manage to get into the game, the file will delete all your system and character configuration.
To restore: open your original copy of FFXIV.cfg with notepad and copy all the text that starts on Display Settings and below to the very end, DO NOT copy Network Settings or Version. Replace the text into the new FFXIV.cfg in Documents>My Games>Final Fantasy XIV

Guys. I Think I found the way.

Go to: Documents > My Games > FINAL FANTASY XIV - A Realm Reborn

Step 1:Back up (Relocate and Preserve) FFXIV.cfg.

Step 2: Delete the FFXIV.cfg

Step 3:
Open Your FFXIV.Allow the game to create a new FFXIV.cfg
You will find that your character has returned to their own server and is able to log in, but the interface will be messed up.

Step 4:Close the Game. Open new FFXIV.cfg and remember the number in the <Network Settings> WordId and delete the content after DktSessionId.

Step 5: Delete the new FFXIV.cfg and paste the Step1 old FFXIV.cfg back.

Step 6:Open the old FFXIV.cfg, then go to <Network Settings> and change the WorldID to the number from Step 4. Also, delete the content after DktSessionId.

Step 7:Everything is back to normal now!
