I am not knocking you at all, but what time are you trying to transfer over, and to what DC? I've been able to move over throughout the whole day to Aether and Primal (haven't tried Crystal) with no issue. I would like to see the issue for myself.Came back again for the free 4 days and yep, again, dynamis is a ghost town and other DCs are congested and unable to travel to them during prime time.
I love taking 40 minutes per roulette to get a duty and not being able to move DCs because SE sets an arbitrary limit on the percentage of players who can be congregated on the only DCs able to get queue pops
Balmung is back on the list of available world transfers, yet is congested for over 12 hours a day.
Hypocrisy much?
Oh wait that's the entire goal, to make money off of people transferring, so if they pay for it that's okay, but god forbid they use the in game free world visit or DC visit system, then the server is full and congested and is at full capacity, but if you swipe your credit card it's not full.
Aand we're back to this again. I'm sorry but there's no way that many players returned for the patch. Can we please for the love of god get a better system?
You guys should move all of it to Dynamis. These servers are dead as hell. Would be a better idea if one is closed. I'm just saying.
"You haven't proven that it is safe, you've (only) proved that you can't figure out how it's dangerous."
Chiming in on this thread once again after seeing other threads have popped up about the frustration over DC travel restrictions. This whole ordeal has had such a chilling effect on the roleplaying community over the last ten months, as we predicted. Venues run by the most thoughtful and forward-planning people in the community have shuttered, events have moved back and forth from server to server to get out ahead of this artificial scarcity brought on by CBU3's decisions, activities in general are very subdued. There was a brief period just before 7.2 dropped where travel seemed possible again, only for that to be killed as soon as the patch emerged.
Your community is tired, Square Enix. What was once a fun hobby for stress relief has become a slog through bureaucracy and lack of transparency. It's really disheartening.
Raiding is over. Can't transfer over to the raiding server, so a significant portion of the game is unavailable to me.
I don't understand why SE did this.
How else are they going to pretend the game is booming with players if the servers and the raiding DC arent congested ?
and my current friend group is one of the many affected by the constant DC travel restrictions for the past 10 or so months since DT launch. each and every one of us is fed up to the point that if it doesn't open up by the end of the month, we'll be unsubbing and taking our money elsewhere. FFXIV is the only game i have EVER played that restricts its servers this much for THIS long. its ridiculous that i have to pay for the game every 2 or so years on top of a monthly sub no less not to be able to play with my close friend group. know in my immediate group we've been more than patient enough for things to settle down and open up but the fact that CBU3 and SE wants to continue to pretend that things are "congested" when its clearly not. its at a point where enough is damn well enough and will be playing better games that doesn't lock its playerbase off from each otherChiming in on this thread once again after seeing other threads have popped up about the frustration over DC travel restrictions. I can't speak for the entire community but I will say that the handful of legitimate, writing-focused venues I've visited on Dynamis are a step in the right direction. For me, the main frustration is the rp venue owners on Balmung (not to be confused with PF spamming club owners, these are not the same thing at all) would need to completely start over from scratch if they wanted to move their communities over to another DC. That's not the kind of work I'd expect anyone to want to deal with right now. And of course this doesn't get rid of the core issue, which is that moving to Dynamis makes visiting Crystal incredibly difficult depending on what part of the patch cycle we're in.Aye, I've noticed all the venue spam on Dynamis because folks from Crystal may have been using it as a way to congregate on worlds that don't keep them locked out for most of the day (with the added bonus of there being a bunch of houses nobody else wants so easy-grabs on most worlds), but I don't rightly know if these Dynamis forays have been successful or not for the RP community because I don't visit venues myself, and for all I know the PF listings for them struggle to find people just like the combat PFs do.
More than anything, I want some kind of update from the developers stating that they've read and acknowledge our frustrations. I want next steps. This nearly year-long obfuscation is incredibly disappointing.
