I can't even visit the few friends who are based there because the itty bitty window where Aether is open for travelers is -surprise surprise- at a time where I'm sleeping.

Having a large chunk of the socializing part of an MMO be completely inaccessible to anyone who isn't lucky enough to already have a character on one of the biggest DCs is absolutely nonsensical, and just defeats the purpose of the having congested worlds locked anyway -no one who manages to get to Aether is going to leave now for fear they can't get back, so the perceived high volume of players is never going to go down.

The intent of these measures makes sense in theory, but in practice -using an automated system especially- is an utter failure.

i don't think the dev team realizes the damage they are doing with this by insisting on keeping these restrictions in place. especially on a single region. not everyone raids. and the harder the raid, the smaller the pool is. its the casual players that keep an MMO alive. your RPers, the venues, gposers etc that keep this game going and the bills paid for this game. the longer this goes on, the more of a problem this becomes for the social scene. yes you can take breaks, but guess what, ppl are going to take breaks and just not come back specially if something like this is allowed to continue for much longer. hell we are already in a lull as it is. it's going to get to a point where this is gonna get to a head, in some way or another and needs to be addressed soooner rather than later.
