[Feedback] Data Center Travel Changes

The only thing really stopping me is that, as far as I know, you can't pay-transfer to some place that's congested, or how its a toss up if I go to Aether (for obvious reasons) or Primal, because it's the only data center I've seen that consistently does Rival Wings even outside of mogtome events, or how when I've DC hopped for deals on the Market Board, 80% of the time the best price/quantity was a world on Primal, which I've been told is because it's "the" hub for gathering/crafting and thus there's far less price-gouging compared to the other DCs (*especially* Dynamis).

Crystal is the only one I don't have any specific motive for, given it's supposedly all about RP/venues and I don't do that kind of content in the slightest.

Correct, you can't go to Aether at all due to Congestion. You have 4 worlds on Crystal and 4 worlds on Primal to choose from that are classified as Standard and not Congested. https://na.finalfantasyxiv.com/lodestone/worldstatus/

I'm kinda surprised to see Mateus being available as I was under the impression it was RP hub #2 right behind Balmung.


Seraph of all places being congested on Dynamis doesn't surprise me though, as that was apparently the place people chose to make the "super world" for whatever reason if all of the disbanded FCs I went through/saw collapse in my early days on Maduin to move there was any indication (to say nothing of how the majority of the people I see in PVE duty finder are also from Seraph). So even on a "dead data center" people were still trying to mass-congregate to one world and leave the rest to their own devices, of which I think Maduin & Marilith were the deadest until Cuchulainn/Golem/Kraken/Rafflesia came along.

So, Mateus being a huge RP hub didn't really kick off until after DC Travel was released. Everyone used to be on Balmung, both sfw and nsfw people combined. When DC Travel came, quicksands turned from RP/ERP into also having gposers, mare spam that didn't even rp, and a noticeable amount more people doing/asking for OOC sexual activities. The vibe completely shifted and a lot of OG's left including a large chunk of sfw people, which then began to populate Mateus as the more sfw crowd. When you go there, you see 80%+ of people wearing the RP tag and actually typing out emotes in open world. That is where the more serious RP happens while Balmung became more degen than the degen reputation it already had.

Seraph was where roleplayers congregated for Dynamis. Hali (where I am) was kinda like the Mateus to Balmung. Leftover/more serious/dark themed roleplay due to being named after a voidsent. Maduin and Marilith were the deadest and I could tell just from housing xD They took the longest to get all of their medium houses taken up on top of the occasional visit to limsa being even emptier than Hali.
