[Feedback] Data Center Travel Changes

This is a atrocish. Our static was forced to PF M1s today cause of how DC travel worked. They need to take the game down tonight and fix it.

Some of you sound like genuinely miserable, friendless people. God forbid people have made friends and relationships with people cross server and want to travel for raiding. This was the worst time and worst way to implement these arbitrary population restrictions. It’s like absolutely no thoughts went into this before implementing it.

Exactly! Someone's picking a fight with me on this exact point and I won't entertain it. Sorry some of us have friends we want to see by using the system the game put in place. Apparently we should have known better and we actually deserve to be stuck in login purgatory, because having friends is somehow rigging the system. This was a huge blunder, no other way around it.

This is an insane take. Imagine thinking that splitting up friend groups is a good thing.

This is what happens when you attempt Crystal > Dynamis. Was it a near-miss? I assume that the classic Aether/Dynamis meta is dead and we're back to the way things used to be?

This change is a direct response to the community choosing to pile on one DC at the expense of every other DC, which wasn't an issue at Endwalker's launch since DC travel didn't exist. If you want to be mad at someone be mad at everyone who participated in the dogpile.

Kudos to Yoship and the devs for delivering when they said they were going to do something about it. The change is great.

You realize that Square Enix Holdings Co., Ltd. isn't doing so well, right? I agree that Yoshida hasn't made the best decisions during Endwalker, especially with DC travel, but we should hope for him to improve things in a more constructive manner. Right now people aren't able to log in.

I really hope this gets fixed soon. I am on Aether and the entire rest of my raid group is on Primal. I ended up costing our group nearly half of our raid time tonight because I was stuck in queues. This sucks.

Funny thing, I was gonna meet up with my friend to pick up gear on Dynamis, only to end up trapped in the rift between dcs. as for raid alts, unfortunately you have to drag that alt through all of msq which, at this point, is Really Freaking Long. I have an existing alt in Endwalker, but there's no way in hell I'm gonna be able to finish all of Dawntrail in the 20 hours I have until my static meets.

Anyway my main issue is the fact that this came out of literally nowhere. If I knew they were gonna do this ahead of time, I would have just joined an aether-specific static to begin with... Decisions like these have to be communicated well in advance, especially when it comes to game content that people literally make plans for months ahead of time.

Square Enix deserves to be cussed out for this debacle. Millions perhaps billions of dollars a year... and they messed up worse than End Walker with today.

This is the real world. I'm sorry you don't like the idea of changes being implemented that have downsides. At the end of the day, the game existed for what? 7 years without data center travel. Majority of people aren't unsubbing even if they did take it out completely. Data center travel is a privelege, not a right.

I noticed that, as well as the person who had been going on about how the DC system should be shut down. Do these people even hear what they're saying? This game is shockingly the first time I've had friends and stable RP in years, so forgive me for being upset for separating me from them.

Also VoidsendStatus its something that affects all players globally not just the American ones. I peaked in the japanese Forum and you find people describe the same problem. I play in Europe and I am stuck aswell. Its not just about Raiding Travel on American Data Centers.
