I think that would be for the best. Atm I am quite happy with the situation as Primal's PF is finally very lively again. I had stopped using it before as I hated DC travel and having to play the PF waiting game with nothing to do in the meantime.
no the problem was opening DC travel door at all. All it has led to is people amassing on 1 DC thinking its the only place they can go to accomplish anything when they accomplished everything fine prior to its availability. SE should just own its mistake and shut it down completely.
I'm definitely someone who didn't really look forward to DC travel and even less to the idea of cross region but also understood why everyone wanted it and also thinks the cat is basically out of the bag.
So I kind of don't want to try putting it back in. At least not entirely. But this probably wasn't it either lol. I'm not sure what they think they're cooking.
Even though I have too many characters and can't even play right now (blooooooom) there is a situation I'd be kind of happy with but it feels grossly pipe dreamy and I'm not sure what would actual happen if it was attempted.
All the current DCs go back to EW DC travel state because it's already too late and then we get a new DC that stays quarantined. One per region. It just abides by the old DC rules, you either start your character on it or pay for a transfer.
Probably would flop or turn out weird though. I can't imagine it actually working well. Somehow I feel it would either stay a ghost town, confuse new people who want to DC travel and don't understand the rules, or it would turn out like Aether but you pay to get in and out. Lol.
Good job Square idk maybe set it all on fire again tbh
it/its - 14 accessibility is bad, ease of access is not accessibility, jobs are boring. Transphobia ruins real attempts at criticism and it's whack.
And keep those of us with friends across DCs from playing with our friends? And kill the venue scene completely?
Great solution. Awesome. Not.
I stick to Aether for FL but I've heard from others that the premades run over to Dynamis to either dominate or to screw around. Considering how annoying they can be already, I can't imagine how worse it is there.
Ok, that makes sense. I thought you were talking about even getting queue's to pop and not the quality of players. Quality being low is a side effect of Dynamis not being able to develop it's own pvp population for so long so it's a bunch of new people primarily. Ranked CC saw the side effects of it from Season 5 and onward where new players essentially got crushed by smurfs from other data centers so it's been a running joke how Dynamis is the hardest DC to rank up on just because the level of carry for the lower ranks is drastically higher than other DC's. You go from having to win with the newest pvp players on NA, to finally reaching plat, and every match you're in is Crystal-Top 30's from other data centers filling out the entire team. PvP discords would've helped alleviate the sprout population a bit but Revival essentially abandoned Dynamis early on even for Ranked CC to the point several Dynamis only discords had to be made, only being able to sync queue's for Ranked pretty much on the weekends only for the majority of the season (casual queue was dead 24/7 unless a pvp discord hosted an event for fun to help sprouts practice) and the bigger maps such as frontlines were queue sync only for like one day a week if that. Regular PvP tournaments and practice scrims hosted by A/P/C all happened to be scheduled on the weekend which also trashed how often Dynamis pvp events happened in general. Anyone that didn't hop over to A/P/C has very little pvp experience and the pvp resources to help new players even inside of the discords are very, to be blunt, kindergarden/elementary level basic stuff as well as guides on youtube. You'd need someone that has been playing on the main data centers or someone who got mentor'd individually to have a good pvp player on dynamis.

As someone who's in pacific time zone this change is absolutely horrendous. The only way that I can go to Aether is to log in before 7:00 AM and do a datacenter transfer. I hate the fact that I have to prep for PFing the morning of because of this ridiculous change.
If this was a reply to me I'm gonna clarify: lol no?
One, new DC would be separated yes. Since it's new, no one is there yet.
So you wouldn't be kept from anyone and no one would be kept from you. Your venue scenes would, on the current DCs, go back to normal.
If your stance is "no, even if a new DC is made, it MUST be accessible to me because it might potentially have venues or I might want to meet someone there" then I don't really get it, I mean I kind of get it, but you can't make one exception? On a completely new, empty DC...??
If this wasn't a reply to me, feel free to ignore this, but my suggestion's entire purpose is to restore the game back to DC travel as it was just a bit ago and add one separate place with no DC travel as a compromise for those who *want* the privacy and culture of a secluded DC.
